Arsenal connects Maddison as £100m Grealish because boss Rodgers of Leicester reacts to transfer talk

The Gunners are still in the market for another creative player, but signing an England international for the Foxes could be costly. Arsenal connects Maddison as £100m Grealish because boss Rodgers of Leicester reacts to transfer talk

Arsenal are still linked with Leicester striker James Maddison, but any deal will not be cheap as Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers looks to turn the star and his team-mates into “one” Jack Grealish – who has joined Manchester  City for £ 100. million ($ 139m).

Some large numbers have already been predicted when it comes to Maddison’s future, with a lot of speculation surrounding a move away from the East Midlands for a prominent 24-year-old.

However, Leicester have been reluctant to sell and have suggested they would like to move closer to the British record which took Grealish from Aston Villa to the Etihad Stadium if they were to –  with an England international soccer player.

What did they say about Maddison ?

Rodgers is aware of rumors circulating about one of the most valuable assets, but he told reporters about a player he puts on the Grealish talent line: “I think they are both close. They are both players.  has art.

“Stylistically, I think they are one. They are both creative. But I would say that they are both completely different. One is a breaker – one who puts people aside.

“James is a middleman and he’s a passerby. So, yes, they’re both producers, but in their form, they’re both very different.

“Everyone can see today how James works hard for the team, his character and how he takes the ball. His eyes for the final pass.

“It’s a beautiful art and I think it’s very sophisticated because they challenge you on this. I think it’s beautiful.”

Rodgers added: “James is sad that he has so many injuries that have prevented him from progressing in the past.

“This is going to be a big year for him, trying to maintain that health – and you will need a little god.

“All he has to do is play in Leicester and see where it takes him.”

Why Arsenal needs Maddison?

The Gunners have been in the market for another creative impact for some time.

Following the departure of Mesut Ozil and his subsequent transfer to Fenerbahce, Martin Odegaard was signed on loan from Real Madrid.

The Norwegian international is yet to appear again, as no decision has yet been made on his long-term future at the Santiago Bernabeu, but other options are being considered.

Maddison is part of the team, alongside Wolves star Ruben Neves, while the Leicester man is proving himself in the Premier League.

With 119 appearances for the Foxes, Maddison has scored 27 goals and 20 assists – helping Rodgers to the FA Cup and Community Shield glory, while also becoming a solid challenger for the fourth round of the Premier League.

Arsenal will welcome the opportunity to buy the right, but they will have to dig deep if a successful attack on home rivals is to be closed before the next transfer window on August 31.
