AZ defeats FC Emmen with ease.

On Sunday afternoon at a Drenthe, EMMEN-AZ Alkmaar easily defeated FC Emmen. The score at De Oude Meerdijk was 0–3. Before the break, Jens Odgaard, Dani de Wit, and Tijjani Reijnders recorded the final score.

AZ opened the game the same way it did in the midweek matchup with NEC. As a result, Odgaard once again began as the striker, with Hkon Evjen and Myron van Brederode on each side of him.

Sour beginning

The heated artificial turf in Emmen during the first phase was difficult for the Alkmaarders to adjust to. The field was sticky and dry. In the tenth minute, AZ was given its first chance. a cross from Milos Kerkez at left back fell on Odgaard’s head, and he mishit FC Emmen’s goal with his header. Afterwards Odgaard put the game on the board in the 21st minute. The Dane handled a beautiful pass with his heel. He subsequently maintained composure and blasted the ball directly in without pausing: 0-1.

Goals

Soon after the first goal, Dani de Wit quickly increased the advantage. Eric Oelschlägel, the goalie, stopped Odgaard’s shot, but the midfielder caught the rebound and the score became 0-2. An assault at Reijnders came to a stop after seven minutes. 0-3 was the score after the midfielder’s direct shot from the sixteen-meter line.

Attempting to score a fourth goal

The Alkmaarders continued their search for a fourth goal in the second half. After the break, Odgaard had a significant opportunity. A signal from Van Brederode had to be fired in, but the striker’s effort was unsuccessful in reaching the target. Soon after, the Dane’s free kick struck the crossbar. Emmen attempted to exert pressure on many players during the final period, including Fernando Pacheco, a replacement, but no goals were scored. So, AZ went to Alkmaar with the three points in hand.
