For the PFA player of the month award, Pascal Gross has been nominated. In August, the 31-year old scored three goals and gave an assist as Albion won three of their opening five Premier League games. Mac Allister who is just a strike away from matching his goal haul from last season has only four Premier League players who have scored more goals than him.
Sending off and wonder strikes for Jensen Weir
On Saturday as his Morecambe side drew 2-2 with Bristol Rovers in League One, Jensen Weir bagged his third goal. Since his arrival on a season-long loan in August, the midfielder seems to be the center of the action. After receiving two yellow card against Stoke in the Carabao cup, the midfielder was sent home on his debut for Morecambe. He expressed how happy he was that they ended up winning on penalties as he prayed that Stoke shouldn’t score. Five of Morecambe seven league games were started by the 20-year old and he has provided important goals. Also, at the Memorial Ground on Saturday, he gave an unbelievable strike as they drew 2-2.
Although his last season with Cambridge United was on loan, an injury cut his campaign short. Elsewhere, in the match between Northampton town against Barrow, Marc Leonard helped Northampton to a 3-1 win. Meanwhile, in a 3-1 away victory against Zulte Waregem, Simon Adingra provided a goal and an assist for Royale Union Saint Gilloise.
