Danuel Kennedy House Jr. (born June 7, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for the National Basketball Association’s Philadelphia 76ers (NBA). He was a two-year starter for the Houston Cougars before transferring to the Texas A&M Aggies. During his senior year, he was instrumental in the Aggies’ first regular-season Southeastern Conference (SEC) championship share, as well as their run to the NCAA tournament’s Sweet Sixteen.

High school Career

House was born and raised in Houston’s Fourth Ward. In Missouri City, Texas, he attended Hightower High School. As a junior, he averaged 13.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.1 blocks, and 1.3 assists per game, earning him First-Team All-District 23-5A honors. As a senior, he averaged 26.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game and was one of ten finalists for the Guy V. Lewis Award, which recognizes the best player in the Greater Houston area. The Hightower Hurricanes finished the season with a 29-9 overall record and a berth in the Regional championship game. ESPNU 100 ranked House 15th in the 2012 class and Scout.com ranked him 26th overall.

Texas A&M Academy (2014–2016)

House transferred to Texas A&M and received an NCAA waiver to play immediately rather than sit out a year.

  He was named first-team All-SEC after averaging 16.2 points per game. House suffered a foot injury near the end of the season and missed the final four games of the season. Danuel House averaged 15.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game as a senior, and scored at least 20 points in nine games. House scored 50 points in the first three games of the season, winning against USC Upstate, Southeastern Louisiana, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The Aggies advanced to the Battle 4 Atlantis finals, where they were defeated by Syracuse 74-67.

professional career (2016–2017)

Washington Wizards

House joined the Washington Wizards for the 2016 NBA Summer League after going undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft.

 He signed with the Wizards on September 23, 2016.

House made his NBA debut on November 11, 2016, against the Cleveland Cavaliers, recording one rebound in 50 seconds of action.

On November 30, 2016, he was diagnosed with a right wrist fracture and was ruled out for at least six weeks.

 He was waived by the Wizards on March 1, 2017.

House played in just one game for the Wizards after missing 39 games due to a right wrist injury and 10 games on assignment to the NBA Development League’s Delaware 87ers.

Vipers of the Rio Grande Valley (2017)

He signed with the Houston Rockets near the start of training camp. He would, however, be one of the players cut from the final roster when preseason concludes on October 15. After that, he was assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the newly rebranded NBA G League. House would play for the team throughout November and early December. Averaging 17.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.

The Phoenix Suns (2017–2018)

The Phoenix Suns signed House to a two-way contract on December 8, 2017. Throughout the rest of the season, House would alternate between Phoenix and their NBA G League affiliate. The Northern Arizona Suns. House would make his NBA debut the next day. Scoring two points and grabbing one rebound in 11 minutes of action against the San Antonio Spurs. House scored a season-high 8 points in 15 minutes of action against the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 16. On December 28, House was assigned to the Northern Arizona Suns affiliate alongside Davon Reed, primarily for healing purposes.
