Pacific FC Youth Program

Pacific FC Trials

Tryouts for all Pacific FC teams in 2022-2023 are now open! Pacific FC is dedicated to providing the finest setting for participants to develop their skills in a professional football atmosphere. When do trials take place?

The first round of tryouts will take place the week of May 2, 2022. The roster has been finalized. Kindly double-check sites, dates, and hours nearer to your trial date as we strive to synchronize trials with other clubs.

Participants can now enroll for trials in their age bracket. You’ll receive email notifications on trial dates and places, and also open drills and kick-arounds, upon signing up. (Kindly remember that you will not receive an email confirming your enrollment.)

Where do trials take place?

The specific venue of the trial will be listed on the roster. For maps, see our catalog of fields. Auditions are usually held at the following locations:

What should I do to be ready for trials?

• Register right now! Players should announce their desire to participate as soon as possible.
• Participate in a “kick around,” which is an open rehearsal with a few teams. See the list below.
• Arrive with a positive attitude and a willingness to put out your best effort.
• Improve your conditioning and abilities.

About Pacific FC

Pacific Football Team, situated in Greater Victoria, British Columbia, is a professional football club in Canada. The club participates in the Canadian Premier League and plays its home games at Langford’s Starlight Stadium.

Background

“Port City FC,” together with Cavalry FC, HFX Wanderers, and York9, was 1 of 4 categories authorized by the Canadian Football Association for professional club participation on May 5, 2018. Feud between Cavalry FC and Pacific FC

Pacific FC

For the debut season of Pacific FC and the Canadian Premier League, James Merriman was recruited as an asst coach under Michael Silberbauer.

Pacific’s 2019 season was a disappointment, and Silberbauer was sacked before the season’s last match. Merriman was invited to take over as temporary manager, and he led Pacific to a 2–0 win over Valour FC to finish fifth in the league.

Robert Douglas Friend (born Jan 23, 1981) is the CEO of Pacific FC and an onetime professional football player who featured as a forward.

Younger years and schooling

Friend was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Canada, on Jan 23, 1981, but brought up in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Callum Ernest John Irving (born March 16, 1993) is a goalkeeper for Pacific FC in the Canadian professional football league.

Before entering the Whitecaps FC Academy in 2007, he made his debut featuring for domestic clubs in Vancouver. He was unsigned in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft despite going to The university of Kentucky and then joined the Rio Grande Valley FC Toros.
