It is also the continuity of an already existing collaboration between Clermont Foot 63 and the Football section of the ASM which led to the creation of the Football Academy Clermontoise (FAC) in 2012

WHETHER OR NOT THE SHARED TRAINING CENTER IS INNOVATIVE

Is no doubt that the center is innovative because it is the first time that such a place of training for 2 team sports. when it comes to rugby and football, it has been highly rated in France and internationally. The decision of the two Presidents is clear: that this innovation, aiming to decompartmentalize sport becomes a model and inspires other Presidents of Clubs to do whatever the disciplines, to work together and to bring in other shared projects. Furthermore, in a context of shortage of financing, pooling, co-financing and “private/public” co-management are important and could become the economic norm of tomorrow.

WHY BRING DIFFERENT SPORTS TOGETHER AT THE SAME PLACE?

Sport in general is universal and so it has gained more recognition and respect from people around the world. Common aid, excellence and performance that it conveys. There is no need to put sports disciplines in opposition. Quite the contrary.

Each athlete whatever his specialty is can and must learn and enrich himself from other athletes. All our young people at the Shared Training Center whether they are rugby players or footballers, also pursue the same goal: to achieve excellence.I think now that the body explains that the bringing together of two different sports no confusion as what matters is the excellence.

Clermont Foot Fc

Clermont Foot 63 (Occitan: Clarmont d’Auvèrnhe; commonly referred to as Clermont Foot or simply Clermont) is a French association football club based in Clermont-Ferrand.
