Find out how Lille reacted to LOSC’s resounding triumph in Montpellier, which dominated the entire encounter.
PAULO FONSECA (LOSC COACH)
“Of course, I’m pleased. Montpellier had been performing well, so we anticipated trouble. After our mistake on the first goal, we played better and stopped Montpellier from attacking. We could have started the scoring. We had numerous opportunities to score additional goals. When teams are shorthanded, it can often be more challenging to play. But what worked for us was that we were more proactive in our search for space. Although they are not in the best physical shape right now, Rémy Cabella and Adam Ounas are still solid options for me.
ANGEL GOMES (SCORER, AT THE MICROPHONE OF AMAZON PRIME LIGUE 1)
“The final goal was the cherry on top, but we played brilliantly all game long.
Our success is positive, but we must maintain this attitude throughout every game. Every contest is vital for the team and the supporters, thus we want to win them all, especially at home ”
JONATHAN DAVID (SCORER, AMAZON PRIME LIGUE 1)
“We had a strong opening to the game until we gave up a goal against the flow of play. The most crucial thing was to respond! Being aggressive helped us look for chances to make a comeback. My objectives are the result of a lot of work in the gym. I didn’t ask myself any questions, I take a look and I shoot to score.”
