Pro One Basketball Club was founded with the goal of positively influencing the young basketball culture in north and central Alabama. Pro One BC takes great pride in offering a product and environment that match your tremendous commitment to your son and his development, not just as a basketball player but as an individual. The organization is made up of coaches and staff that has played, coached, and/or worked at every level of basketball. Each of our coaches has received certification from USA Basketball’s Youth Development program.

We want our players and families to “BE DIFFERENT” and take great delight in forging our own path in a culture where everyone strives to be the greatest at a young age, be elite, or be anything. Before kids enter high school and beyond, we want to teach and develop our athletes, not let victories, defeats, awards, rankings, or social media posts define them. Your best self—in life and basketball. The one.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO “BE DIFFERENT”?

Be Different is a state of mind that each of us must define for ourselves; we are not given definitions. How are you different from everyone else? What can you do to improve the lives of others? We have witnessed enormous demand from families wishing to “Be Different” and become a part of the Pro One family as the program’s visibility and growth have continued to rise. Moving forward, our challenge is to continue to meet this demand and offer as many opportunities as we can to the players, families, and coaches who want to be a part of the Pro One culture. We want to give them all the best experience by using basketball to teach life lessons and to help prepare them for both on and off the court.

Enjoy the adventure, choose your own path, and improve our players’ lives along the way so they might later improve the lives of others.

HOW OUR TEAMS WORK

TEAMS UNDER ARMOR

The main goals of UA Rise, a circuit that complements the UAA, are exposure to college coaches and high-level play. Each of the three age divisions in the league—17U, 16U, and 15U—has 48 clubs. Each team competes in a 12-game regular season before the UA Rise Champion is determined via a single-elimination championship bracket.

Since the RISE’s launch in 2019, Pro One Basketball has been the only boys program powered by Under Armour in Alabama and one of the few, select programs to be a member. In our program, we have three teams with the designation UA RISE: 17U,

16U and 15U. Players chosen for these teams should be ready for a hard practice schedule, training regimen, and national tournament schedule.

Teams chosen by the upper school (ALABAMA AND TENNESSEE)

Our 17U, 16U, and 15U High School Select teams are made up of great athletes who want to compete at the highest level during their high school careers and afterwards in college. From D1 to D3 and NAIA, this squad often includes outstanding academic prospects. Players chosen for these teams should be ready for a hard schedule that includes practices, training, and competitions at some of the region’s finest independent tournaments.

Regional upper school teams (ALABAMA AND TENNESSEE)

Pro One is dedicated to giving players of all skill levels opportunity. Our regional teams give participants the chance to advance within our program, improve as players, and acquire important exposure and experience. As allowed, we have regional teams at the 17U, 16U, and 15U age ranges.

MIDDLE SCHOOL AND LOWER SCHOOL REGIONAL TEAMS (ALABAMA AND TENNESSEE)

TESTIMONIALS

ALAN PEEBLES

Liberty College (Hartselle High – Class of 2021)

“All wonderful things, they say, must come to an end. In his AAU career, Bro made a few baskets, played in some unique venues against some top players, and had some excellent teammates. Players change teams for a variety of reasons, but we’ve always had good reasons to stick around. Brody never donned another shirt, which is unusual among players who are part of the same team. Danny, thank you. I appreciate Pro One. You’re welcome, Pro One Family. It’s acceptable to be unique. In fact, I support it. What an adventure! [DeWayne Peebles]

LEOPARD OF CHANDLER

Auburn College (Athens High – Class of 2021)

“You may attain your dreams through hard effort as long as you put God first and have confidence in yourself. I never imagined that after high school I would have the opportunity to play basketball for an SEC team. Success in athletics and the real world after high school depends on surrounding yourself with the appropriate individuals, like I did with Pro One.

WRIGHT SAWYER

School of North Alabama (Deshler High – Class of 2020)

“I have and will continue to suggest the ProOne organization to anyone with a child that is really motivated to improve as a player and a person for a plethora of reasons. The information below is based on my personal experience over the course of the two years I was active.

My kid Sawyer played 16U in 2018 and 17U in 2019. My name is Matt Wright. A little bit about Sawyer He had never played any AAU sport before joining ProOne as a rising junior standing 6’8″. He lacked experience as a player and was underdeveloped. The intense personal interest in Sawyer’s future achievement started as soon as he entered the gym for his first evaluation and has continued for more than two years. Every Pro One Coach he encountered had a sincere desire for him to be successful.

His first summer was initially a little intimidating, but he grew more confident every week. With the exception that he had now cultivated ties with other Coaches and players who shared his ideals, his second year was largely similar to the first. Many of them maintained contact over the course of the entire summer and academic year. Sawyer is now playing basketball with the UNA team and loving it! Sawyer was given this chance in large part thanks to Pro One! I will try my best to summarize the various advantages they have provided for my son and my family in this final paragraph. This is why I will ALWAYS suggest them to any player who is sincerely devoted to their career in basketball.

Reasons:

1. Each athlete receives an honest assessment and a realistic expectation of how far their talent can carry them from the top down and on day one. There are a lot of talented folks who would do anything to help your coachable, diligent youngster succeed. I phrase it that way because their honest assessment includes a description of the moral character and commitment to the team that your child needs to excel.

2- Your child will now have the entire company reaching out to help them get noticed by college coaches when they are dedicated to their personal achievement. They will go to unbelievable lengths to enable your child to assist himself! When I consider how many texts Sawyer received with the subject line “Coach X from Pro One phoned me about you,” I’m taken aback.

3. What I am most grateful for and what is most important to me is… Even after Sawyer played his final game, they continued to be interested in him. He has been absent from the program for more than a year but he STILL frequently receives texts from Pro One employees asking how he is doing. I cannot adequately express the significance of knowing Sawyer has people of that caliber on his side.

This is what I’ll leave you with. At home, help your child develop the skills needed to be a good teammate and a better student. They will grow a strong work ethic and a thirst for knowledge if they do it! Your youngster can become a leader through perseverance and commitment to study. Now, see this kid succeed by taking him to Pro One. Watch him as he discovers the numerous lessons in life that the game imparts and how to apply them.

Watch as college coaches begin to take notice of him and last but not least, observe
