Any suggestions for a 1979 Ford E-150 chateau?
• I used to think that adding synthetic to an older car would cause leakage. Well, I just went ahead and attempted it a few years back. Several trucks have less than 200k miles, others have more than 300k, and one has over 500k! all created during the 1990s. The one that did use a little oil in between oil replacements did not get any worse, neither did the others.
Could my monster moto minibike use this oil?

I’ve used this oil for 12 years on 5 motorcycles, 3 cars, a 2002 Honda Accord with over 200,000 miles, and for the past 4 years, a 2014 BMW 335d (diesel). The motorcycles range in size from 400cc thumpers and inline-4s to 800cc V4 motorcycles. have never once experienced an engine issue in any of them. Never, ever, any form of leakage. When I replaced the oil from the former owners, my motorcycles ran and shifted much more smoothly. As long as the temperature doesn’t go below the specified limit, this oil is almost always affordable, therefore I don’t know what it can’t do. 0 degrees is the lowest temperature I’ve directly encountered whilst using it (F). amazing stuff
Excellent performance in my 2003 Suzuki SV650. Strongly suggested. Compared to other oils, I ca n’t imagine how smoothly my bike now shifts up and down, clicks into gear, and revs out.
Just to reiterate what many people already know (and DON’T KNOW) about this oil: It is indeed JASO DH-2 & MA/MA2 approved, and the bottle bears a stamp designating it as a motorcycle-specific oil. This indicates that both dry and wet clutch applications are secure.
T6 5w-40 is certified for use with the Volvo VDS-4, if you look around. Shell does not publicly state this, however in order to comply with this specification, it must have an HTHS viscosity (Greater than) >3.9cP.
The bike has never operated or shifted as smoothly after a year and two T6 changes. My bike never hesitates to upshift or downshift as it should, even in the cold, all winter long and into the spring/summer (quite mild a swing of only 40F to 80F ambient). The only thing that I use in my 2005 F250 powerstroke which is used in Colorado. The changing temperatures in the state are ideal for this oil.
This has NEVER needed to be supplemented. I tow a big fifth wheel across the US with my 2014 Ford F-350 Diesel before performing routine maintenance. And when, midway through a drive from California to Northern Montana, the “oil change necessary” indicator illuminated, I continued on to my destination—another 700 miles—because?
I was confident in the durability of this synthetic lubricant and unconcerned about engine failure occurring before I reached my destination and changed the oil. I rechecked the oil when I got to Whitefish, and it was still full! My truck has 40K miles on it, largely from towing, and this most current trip was under unusually warm weather for a considerable distance—100° and even hotter, yikes.

I have a scooter maintenance business ran out of my home. I use roughly 4 gallons of T6 per year. T6 enters the crankcase if the bike has more than 1,500 kilometers on it. I apply this to everything, including 400cc Burgmans and 50cc Zumas. T6 has been in some of the bikes I work on for the majority of their more than 30,000 miles of use.
