Akula Elitnaurvik (Akula School) is located in Kasigluk, Alaska.

We are roughly 60 miles inland from the Bering Sea and 25 miles due west of Bethel, Alaska, on the Johnson River.

Subsistence, Yup’ik dancing, feasts, and community unity are all important parts of the traditional Yup’ik way of life (Yuuyaraq), which is highly regarded in our society.
