Athanasios Rotimi “Thanasis” Antetokounmpo[a] (born Adetokunbo;[b] July 18, 1992) is a Greek professional basketball player for the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks (NBA). He is listed at 6 feet 7 inches and plays small forward and power forward. He is the older brother of Giannis Antetokounmpo, the two-time NBA MVP, as well as Kostas Antetokounmpo and Alex Antetokounmpo.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo Early Career
In 2008, Antetokounmpo began playing youth club basketball with the Filathlitikos junior teams. He then played for Filathlitikos’ senior men’s team in the Greek fourth division (2010-11 season) and the Greek third division (2011-12 season) (2011–12 season)

Antetokounmpo was selected ninth overall by the Delaware 87ers in the 2013 NBA Development League Draft on November 1, 2013. Antetokounmpo made his D-League debut on November 23, 2013, recording 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in a 117-106 loss to the Canton Charge. He also competed in the NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest in 2014.
In 50 games for the NBA Development League in 2013-14, he averaged 12.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.3 blocks. He was named to the 2014 NBA D-League All-Defensive third team on May 1, 2014.

Knicks of Westchester (2014–2016)

Antetokounmpo signed with MoraBanc Andorra of the Liga ACB on August 8, 2016. He was instrumental in his team qualifying for the ACB playoffs for the first time in 22 years, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Real Madrid. During the regular season, he averaged 7.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, before increasing his contribution to 12.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in the playoffs. The Milwaukee Bucks (2019–present)
Antetokounmpo signed with the Milwaukee Bucks on July 16, 2019, reuniting with his brother Giannis and becoming the Bucks’ second pair of brothers on the roster, following twins Brook and Robin Lopez. On November 1, he made his debut in the closing minutes of a game against the Orlando Magic. The elder Antetokounmpo scored a spectacular dunk in addition to two assists and a rebound. On November 13, 2019, the Milwaukee Bucks announced that Antetokounmpo had been assigned to the NBA G League’s Wisconsin Herd. After only one game with the Herd, he was recalled two days later.
