Zenit Saint Petersburg or simply Zenit is a Russian professional football club based in the city of Saint Petersburg. Founded in 1925 (or in 1914, according to some Russian sources). Zenit is by far the most successful Russian football club. The club exploits in the European scene helped popularize the Russian League.
