WYBA BASKETBALL CAMPS

Basketball camps are a unique and entertaining opportunity for athletes to develop their skill set and discover new methods and approaches.

Every age and educational level is cared for during camps. Attending camp can be beneficial for all players, from beginners to experienced ones. WYBA camps place a strong emphasis on fundamentals while focusing on every facet of the game. Athletes can sample various coaching philosophies at camps, which are also an enjoyable atmosphere in which to develop a variety of abilities.

SKILLS FORMATION

Each stage of growth has had programming handled by WYBA. We have programs that will involve each player independently, regardless of whether your athlete is a newbie or desiring advanced level training. The 8 skill categories identified by USA Basketball are level-appropriately emphasized in each of our skill development programs: Ball handling and dribbling, body control and footwork, passing and receiving, grabbing rebounds, setting screens, shooting, and team defense

And our coaching approach focuses on instilling a passion of the game of basketball in young athletes. Our objective is to deliver a secure and encouraging environment where athletes may feel appreciated, take pride in their triumphs, and grow from their mistakes.

We are dedicated to providing each player with a solid foundation in the various specialized talents needed to be a great, all-around player. COACH CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING

The Campbell County Volleyball Club (CCVC) and the Wyoming Youth Basketball Association (WYBA) are dedicated to offering our young coaches materials and training. For the complete experience of youth sports, coach training is essential.

The right way to teach fundamentals and drills is by coaches who have obtained the appropriate sport-specific training and are knowledgeable about the most recent safety regulations and procedures.

Our coaches adhere to the USA Basketball and Volleyball regulations and customize their programs and instruction to each athlete’s unique physiological and emotional growth. Concussion management, first aid, CPR, and other youth development and safety trainings are among the courses offered in the Safesport Act training program. FAMILY PARTICIPATION

In sports, family members and parents/guardians can take on a variety of roles, including that of coach, supporter, driver, source of inspiration, and reviewer. According to studies, a person’s family can have a big impact on how involved and successful they are in sports. Parents and guardians are usually the first and most important source of social support in sports.

Parents and guardians have a special chance to encourage their kids to become lifetime participants in and fans of sport and physical exercise.

Peers and siblings, and also the actions of adult role models (coaches, instructors, extended relatives, etc.), have a significant impact on how children behave. But, parents and guardians serve as the constant role models that children follow to guide their own growth.

Sport and physical task can be actively encouraged and supported by parents and guardians in many ways, including financially, practically, and psychologically. This is important for starting and keeping a child’s engagement in sports and for instilling a healthy outlook on maintaining physical condition throughout life.
