About ASO Chlef
ASO Chlef, established in 1947, is an Algerian football club premised in Chlef. Red and white are club colors. Their home stadium holds 20,000 people. The team is in Algeria’s Ligue Professionnelle 1.
Background
ASO Chlef was established as Association Sportive d’Orléansville on June 13, 1947.
The Algerian Muslim society of the city sought a club to compete with Groupement Sportif Orléansville. 1st season, the club came second in the third tier. In the next two seasons, it won advancement.
Upon Algeria’s self-government in 1962, the city’s identity was modified to El Asnam and the club’s initials were kept.
ASO Chlef won its 1st local championship in 2005 by defeating USM Sétif 1–0 in additional time in the Algerian Playoff final.
By earning the Cup, they are eligible for the 2006 CAF Confederation Cup. Their African run was short. After beating ASC Entente of Mauritania, they dropped to AS Douanes of Senegal 1–0 on totality.

Moussa Saïb

Haddouche, Zakaria

Hadjaoui, who was born in Tlemcen, started his journey with his native club WA Tlemcen. With the team, he won two Algerian Cups and an Arab Cup.
