Overview Of City Of Birmingham Rockets Basketball Academy

Many of Birmingham’s top basketball players have been nurtured by the City of Birmingham Rockets, the city’s largest and most storied basketball club, which has been around for over 20 years and offers programs for players of all ages, from 5 to adult.

As part of our new collaboration, Rockets will run a basketball school out of Birmingham Met College, where students will receive daily on- and off-court basketball instruction in addition to their regular academic coursework.

The club will organize multiple varsity teams at the university, and they will collaborate with the Rockets to give academy participants access to professional-level training.

Every member of the City of Birmingham Rockets Basketball Club is required to enroll in a Course of Study that corresponds with their current level of academic achievement.

How to Join Birmingham Basketball Academy

In order to enroll in the Birmingham METS Basketball Academy Education Programme, prospective students must have already earned the necessary number of GCSEs at the appropriate entry level for their chosen course of study.

However, if a student does not succeed in either Math or English, they will be asked to retake those subjects while they are enrolled in the Programme.

Also, if a student does not have the GCSE/Level 2 results necessary for a Level 3 Study Curriculum, they will still be eligible to participate in the netball programme by studying at Level 1 or 2.

Presentation and Evaluation

Shipping and handling will occur at Sutton Coldfield College.

Also, training will be held on Monday and Tuesday, while games will be played on Wednesday.
