Feyenoord Football Club

Feyenoord is a Dutch top-flight football club competing in the Eredivisie. The Club is one of the most successful Dutch football clubs. Founded as Wilhelmina in 1908, the club changed to various names before settling on being called after its neighborhood in 1912 as SC Feijenoord, updated in 1974 to SC Feyenoord. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A FOOTBALL CAMP?

You may not be familiar with the word, how, ever a football vacation is similar to a summer program where football is the primary focus. Summer schools are held all over the world by Valencia CF to educate the VCF system and ideals as well as provide education.

Valencia CF for Youths

Valencia Club de Futbol Juvenil is the Spanish professional football club Valencia’s under-19 team. Villarreal and Levante are their major opponents in Group VII of the División de Honor Juvenil de Ftbol.

They also compete in the national Copa de Campeones Juvenil and the Copa del Rey Juvenil, with eligibility based on final league group placement, as well as the continental UEFA Youth League.

Mestalla CF Valencia

Valencia Mestalla, or Valencia Club de Ftbol Mestalla, is the backup squad of Valencia CF, a Spanish football club headquartered in Valencia, in the municipality of the same name. Background

Established in 1944 as Club Deportivo Mestalla, the club took 21 seasons in the Segunda División between 1947 and 1973, with the greatest ever completion of 2nd spot in the southern category in 1951–52; they went on to win the promotion play-off group, however, and were unfit for advancement to La Liga as the backup team of Valencia CF, who are also in that division.

The club was demoted to the Tercera División after finishing last in the Segunda División in 1972–73; three yeafterwardards, they were demoted to the Valencian Regional Preferente, Spain’s top regional football league. However, their tenure was short-lived, as the Spanish league was restructured. Hence they were relegated to the Tercera División, the 4th tier of the national football system. For the 1987–88 season, they were temporarily moved up to Segunda División B. However were demoted again after ending only one point from safeness. They joined permanently with Valencia CF in 1991, following three more seasons in the Tercera División, and became the club’s B squad.

Valencia B came first in their Tercera División in their inaugural season. So was transferred back to the Segunda División B. They’ve spent every except 5 seasons in the Segunda División B ever since, finishing second in their group in 2001–02.

Valencia CF Femenino

Valencia CF Femenino, formerly Asociación Deportiva DSV Colegio Alemán, is a Valencia-based Spanish women’s football team.

History

Colegio Alemán, a small club created on November 25, 2000, at the German School of Valencia (DSV), was promoted to the Superliga Femenina for the 2007–08 season.

The team finished third from last in both that season and the subsequent season on, managed to dodge demotion. On May 26, 2009, the club revealed that it had achieved a deal with Valencia CF to transform Colegio Aleman’s women’s teams into VCF’s women’s department.

Participants are exposed to numerous programs as part of the ES Setif Academy enrollment procedure, depending on their age and skill set.

How to Become a Member of the ES Setif Football Academy

Everyone is welcome at the Club, which operates on an open-door basis. The procedure outlined below can also be used to learn how to join a Football Academy in Europe. A large amount of the prerequisites are also available in Europe through Football School Scholarships.

Enrollment Qualifications for the ES Setif Football Institute

ES Setif Academy Scouts and Open Football trials are used to choose new members for the club. Candidates, particularly foreign scholars, can still apply via the club’s website or by special drafts.

ES Sétif and football in Africa

On multiple instances, ES Sétif, an Algerian professional association football team, has qualified for Confederation of African Football (CAF) events. In 11 instances, they have featured Algeria in the Champions League, 4 times in the Confederations Cup, and twice in the now-defunct Cup Winners’ Cup.

ES Setif’s Background

ES Sétif, whose club has competed in Confederation of African Football (CAF) tournaments on a routine basis. The achievement of Algerian clubs in their regional league and cup contests determine their accreditation for the primary African tournament, the African Cup. ES Sétif has consistently qualified for the African Cup by earning the Ligue Professionnelle 1. ES Sétif has also qualified for the African Cup of Nations through the Algerian Cup and has competed in the previous African Cup Winners’ Cup.

The first game was a 1–0 setback to Kampala City FC. The best win was against ASC Linguère 7–1 in 1991, and the greatest failure was against Union Douala 5–0 in 1981. For the 1st occasion in 6 years, ES Setif moved back to continental tournaments, this occasion in the African Cup of Champions Clubs. Despite dropping to the second division the succeeding year, Les Aigles Noirs won the title for the first moment in the same contest, defeating Iwuanyanwu Nationale of Nigeria in a game played at Stade du 17 Juin in Constantine. They then faced Al Sadd SC in the championship of the Afro-Asian Club Championship and earned the championship for the 2nd attempt. In 1991, ES Sétif competed in the last continental tournament of the 20th century, reaching the semi-finals, and Malik Zorgane netted the first hat-trick for ES Sétif versus SC Gagnoa in the 2nd round.

Won once more after 26 years

After a decade of decline, ES Setif returned to the top level and won its maiden league trophy in 20 years in 2006–07.

ES Sétif returned to the continental tournament after 17 years, however, was eliminated in the 1st round by Olympique Khouribga. A year afterward, in the Confederation Cup, ES Sétif reached the championship match but lost to Stade Malien.

Abdelmalek Ziaya scored 15 goals in the same tournament. After that, ES Sétif engaged in the CAF Confederation Cup and the CAF Champions League until 2014, when they won their first championship in 26 years and the first for an Algerian club in the latest edition. They started their adventure against ASFA Yennenga and Coton Sport, where they qualified for the group phase. They were placed in Group B with CS Sfaxien, Espérance de Tunis, and Al-Ahly Benghazi from Libya.

In the semi-finals, they beat TP Mazembe on away goals regulation, and in the final, they beat AS Vita Club in the same method.

To qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup as the first Algerian club, they lost 1–0 to Auckland City.

Subsequently, in the CAF Super Cup final, ES Sétif faced Egyptian giant Al-Ahly and earned 6–5, Algeria’s maiden trophy.

Construction

The new stadium in Ain Romane will satisfy FIFA’s “standards” for measures, lighting, security, and press. 75 hectares will house a boardroom and 6,000 automobiles.

The prospective Black and White fortress will have an Olympic swim pool, an equestrian center, an athletic stadium with 3,000 bleachers, three replica courses, a 4-star hotel with 200 beds, a 400-seat cafe, and a 400-seat theatre, and a media space. It will create hundreds of jobs along with a 700-hectare industrial mega-area.

Authorities said the stadium will be ready in 3 years. Construction was entrusted to Consider and Sacyr for over 30 billion dinars.

Akram Gujarat

Algerian footballer Akram Djahnit (born 3 April 1991) features for ES Sétif in the Ligue Professionnelle 1.

Career in the club

Sétif ES

Djahnit, who was born in Sétif, started his football profession in the youth sections of his local team, ES Sétif. He was a participant of the Sétif under-20 group that earned the Algerian Junior Cup in 2010, defeating CR Belouizdad 12-11 in a penalty shoot-out after the match finished 0-0.

Djahnit earned his official appearance for the club in a league game against AS Khroub on June 18, 2011.

He netted his initial goal for ES Sétif in a 3-1 defeat to CA Bordj Bou Arréridj a week afterward, on June 25, 2011.

SC Al-Arabi

Djahnit inked a two yrs agreement with Kuwaiti club Al-Arabi in July 2015.

On November 11, 2015, he netted his maiden league goal in a 1-0 win over Al-Nasr. In January 2016, Djahnit and Al-Arabi struck a deal to end his agreement.

Sétif ES

Djahnit went to his previous club ES Sétif after canceling his agreement with Al-Arabi.

Djahnit was summoned to the Algerian Under-23 National Team by Azzedine At Djoudi for a two-week development camp at the Algerian Football Federation’s training facility in Sidi Moussa on September 23, 2011. For the team, he has one cap.

Sofiane Khedairia

Sofiane Khedairia (born 1 April 1989) is an Algerian footballer who currently features for ES Sétif in the Ligue Professionnelle 1 of Algeria.

Career

Khedairia started his profession as a member of US Baille and Burel FC, two tiny amateur clubs. He enlisted in the Toulouse FC program in 2004 and quickly rose through the levels.

Although being only 17 years old at the moment, Khedairia was summoned to the senior team for their debut moment on January 24, 2007, and sat on the sideline for Toulouse in a Ligue 1 encounter versus Nice. He did not, however, participate in the match.

Global

In September 2015, Khedairia was summoned to the Algerian senior team for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier versus Lesotho.

Mourad Delhoum (Mourad Delhoum)

Mourad Delhoum (born October 27, 1987, in Sétif) is an Algerian football player who currently features in the Ligue Professionnelle 2 for MC El Eulma.

Delhoum is the cousin of Rafik Safi, a one-time Algerian global forward.

Global Career

At the 2007 All-Africa Games, Delhoum was a participant of the Algerian Under-23 National Team.

He also competed in the Olympic qualifications for the 2008 Summer Games.

Ziaya Abdelmalek

Abdelmalek Ziaya (born 23 January 1984) is an Algerian football player who currently works for USM Annaba in the Ligue Professionnelle 2.

Profession

Sétif ES

Guelma is where Ziaya was born. He was a mainstay in ES Sétif’s first squad and scored a goal against Al-Ittihad in the second round and Al-Nasr in the group stage during the club’s 2006–07 Arab Champions League win.

In the round of 16 of the 2007–08 Arab Champions League, Ziaya netted against Al-Wehda.

On December 26, 2009, it was reported that the 25-year-old Algerian striker would join FC Sochaux on loan with a purchase option from ES Sétif.

Four days afterward, it was claimed that the president of ES Sétif had declined to loan the player to Sochaux and was in talks with Ittihad Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Jeddah Ittihad

On January 6, 2010, Ziaya agreed to a two-year agreement with Ittihad Jeddah of Saudi Arabia, for which the club paid €2 million.

In his initial match for the club, a 4–1 cordial triumph over Al-Ettifaq, he netted twice.

Ziaya earned his professional appearance for AlIttihad in an AFC Champions League game versus FC Bunyodkor in Uzbekistan on February 23, 2010, with the host side winning 3–0.

On March 8, 2010, in an AFC Champions League encounter against Zob Ahan, he netted his first professional goal for the club.

The goal was netted by Ziaya in the 16th minute of the match, and the score was 2–2. On 14 March, in his first league match for Ittihad against Al-Ahli, he assisted Manaf Abushgeer on the game’s only goal. Although winning only one championship in 2 years with the squad, he is now regarded as one of Ittihad’s best attackers and has declared his desire to return to Saudi Arabia.

Bizertin Athlétique Club

Ziaya earned a 2 deal with Tunisian club CA Bizertin on July 29, 2012.

He earned his professional appearance for the club in a league match against ES Zarzis on August 1, 2012, scoring a goal.

Global Career

Ziaya was summoned by Rabah Saadane for the 2010 African Cup of Nations in Angola after impressing ES Setif in 2009, scoring 15 goals in 13 matches in the CAF Confederation Cup and another 8 goals in the first half of the local match.

At the 2010 African Cup of Nations, Ziaya made his appearance for the Algerian National Team, stepping on as a replacement in the 63rd minute of a group match against Malawi.

Safari, Abdelkader

Abdelkader Lafaoui (born July 29, 1981 in Hussein Dey, Algiers) is a retired Algerian football player. He is primarily a central defender, but he can also play right back.

Lafaoui has been an Algerian international since 2004, and he represented his country in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He was also a member of Algeria’s A’ national team, which came 4th in the African Nations Championship in Sudan in 2011.

Global Career

Lafaoui was connected with a transfer to Tunisian club Club Africain in December 2005.

CR Belouizdad declined to release the player notwithstanding the traveling to Tunis and consenting to individual terms with the club. A transfer fee deal could not be achieved.

Lafaoui inked a 2 agreement with USM Alger on a voluntary exchange from ES Sétif on July 25, 2011.

Lafaoui was assaulted by rival fans who invaded the field at the close of a league match against MC Sada on 14 April 2012 at Sada’s Stade on 13 Avril 1958.

He needed stitching and spent the night in the clinic as a function of his wounds.

Feham joined USM Alger on a free transfer from ES Sétif on June 9, 2011, and accepted a one-year agreement.

Global Career

Feham made his debut for Algeria at the Under-20 level in a competition in Rezé, France.

Afterward, he was called up to the Under-21 and Under-23 teams, and he competed at the 2005 Islamic Games in Saudi Arabia.

He was summoned on reserve for the Algerian A’ National Team’s qualifier against Morocco on April 22, 2008.

Batna MSP

Hadj Assa began his football career in 1994 with MSP Batna, where he began in the youth teams and progressed to become one of the club’s top outstanding athletes. He made his entire appearance for the club in the Algerian Second Division in the 2003–2004 season, and his on-field talents drew a lot of attention from local clubs.

Sétif ES

Hadj Assa enlisted ES Sétif in the summer of 2004 and made 25 outings in his first season, netting two goals. He made 28 outings and earned 5 goals the next season.

Hadj Assa was granted a tryout with Real Madrid on the 10th of June 2006, on Zinedine Zidane’s advice.

Hadj Assa assisted ES Sétif to earn the Algerian League for the first time since 1987 in his 3rd season with the club. He has also been voted the Best Player of the Arab Champions League after playing a key influence in the team’s victory in the 2006–2007 edition.

The next season, he assisted the team in winning the Arab Champions League in 2007–08. Nevertheless, the club only managed a third-place position in the domestic league.

On July 11, 2008, there was a report that he will be facing trial with Benfica, a Portuguese club.

But, he confirmed a few days afterward that he would not be joining the club since he was being loaned out.

He moved to Ukraine two weeks afterward and enrolled with Metalist Kharkov, however, the club refused to meet ES Sétif president Abdelhakim Serrar’s asking price.

Hadj Assa joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq on August 9, 2009.

The agreement was dissolved a few days afterward after Al-Ettifaq ran into money problems and was unable to fulfill the signing fee to ES Sétif.

On August 24, 2009, it was reported that he would be facing trial with Portsmouth of the English Premier League.

He practiced with the club until the transfer season closed on September 31st, but due to work visa complications, he was unable to sign. Portsmouth had hoped to retain him, however, they could do nothing about it due to procedural concerns.

In 2010, he successfully led his team to a 3–0 victory in the Algerian Cup final.

Djediat, Lamouri

Lamouri Ben Kadda Djediat (born December 20, 1982) is an Algerian football player who currently works for USM Bel-Abbès in the Ligue Professionnelle 1 of Algeria.

Career in the club

Djediat made his debut in the youth categories of his local team, Entente Sour El Ghozlane, where he was born.

In 2003, he decided to join Paradou AC, a freshly endorsed Algerian Championnat National 2 team.

Sétif ES

Djediat enlisted reigning Algerian Championnat National champions ES Sétif in June 2007 following four seasons with Paradou. The transfer payment made by ES Sétif was 22,000,000 Algerian dinars, which was the biggest signing fee in Algeria at the moment.

He assisted the club to maintain the Arab Champions League championship in his rookie season with the club, defeating Wydad Casablanca 2-0 on the total in the final. Djediat got votes as the contest’s top player.

Chlef ASO

Djediat acquired a one-year agreement with ASO Chlef on August 24, 2010.

Djediat led ASO Chlef to its first champions league in his debut campaign with the club, making 24 league matches and scoring five goals.

Alger, USM

Djediat secured a one-year agreement with USM Alger on July 27, 2011.

He earned his professional appearance for the club as a beginner in a league game against CA Batna on September 10, 2011, netting a goal in the 42nd minute.

Aoudia Mohamed Mohamed Amine Aoudia (born June 6, 1987) is an Algerian forward.

Club-career

Aoudia made his debut with IR Hussein Dey before actually joining CR Belouizdad in 2005. ZSC Aoudia signed a three-year agreement with Zamalek SC on December 26, 2010, for a transfer fee of $200,000. The agreement closed on December 29, 2010.

Aoudia initiated his Zamalek public appearance on January 21, 2011, against El-Entag El-Harby. He played the entire 0–0 match. Aoudia netted his maiden goal for Zamalek against Kenya’s Ulinzi Stars a week afterwards.

Zamalek scored 4–0 with Aoudia’s 76th-minute goal. Aoudia netted his first goal for Zamalek against Arab Contractors SC on May 21, 2011.

Aoudia netted three mins after stepping on as a replacement with the score 1–1 in the 68th minute. Hassan Shehata, Zamalek’s new head coach, cut Aoudia on July 18, 2011.

Sétif

Aoudia joined with ES Sétif on July 31, 2011. $175,000 was the cost. In his first season, he scored 12 league goals and helped win the league-cup dual. The next season, he was Algeria’s highest goalscorer.

Aoudia secured a two deal with Dynamo Dresden on July 4, 2013.

Blida

Aoudia joined USM Blida on a free transfer on September 14, 2020.

Career overseas

Aoudia began all three matches for Algeria’s under-23 team at the 2007 All-Africa Games, scoring twice against Guinea and Zambia.

Algerian Kaled Gourmi (born April 16, 1986) is a footballer with Conflans FC footballer.

Career

Club-career

FC Baulmes leased Gourmi to BSC Young Boys in September 2009. Nevertheless, illness restricted him to two Young Boys outings before his loan ended in February. Gourmi joined ES Sétif on August 19, 2011.

He earned his club appearance against NA Hussein Dey on September 10, 2011, as a second-half replacement. On October 1, he netted his first goal for Sétif in a 3–2 defeat to USM El Harrach. Following a brief tenure with FC Saint-Leu 95, 33-year-old Gourmi. Conflans FC, a Régional 2 club, re-signed him in January 2020.

Introduction To Real Sociedad Cantera

Real Sociedad, a Spanish professional football club’s youth academy is the Cantera(quarry). They nurture youngsters into outstanding players worthy of the top tiers.

The Juvenil A (Basque: Gazteak A) under-18/19 team represents the club in national competitions and is the final category within the youth structure. The club’s reserve teams are Real Sociedad C or Real Sociedad B. Yong shoots progress to these reserve teams after their graduation. Although, these teams are considered part of the cantera because it’s still a phase in development into the senior team.

Real Sociedad training complex is located in Zubieta, and this is where the Academy is based at. This name is often used to refer to the academy informally.

History and Mode of operation

The Cantera is prioritize in Real Sociedad and other top club’s in Spanish football. Young players are nurtured within the club or sold to other clubs to generate income. The club operated a Basque-only player recruitment policy until late 1980s when it was dropped to retain competitiveness.

Although, their home region of Gipuzkoa is still where their youth recruitment system is focused. The regional government assists them financially and they partner with smaller clubs in the area. All but one of the members of the Juvenil A team was recorded to be from Gipuzkoa in 2013.

Presently, Academy graduates make up most of the senior team players. In 2014, 15 of the squad members (as per analysis from the CIES Football Observatory). Real Sociedad was second-highest across Europe’s top five leagues with total of 16 ‘homegrown players’ (as per UEFA guidelines: three years of training between 15 and 21 years old) In 2016.

They were only behind neighbors Athletic Bilbao. In the 2016–17 La Liga where they finished 6^th, it was observed further that these graduates were regular starters in the team and involved in 50% of the minutes.

More Information

The club’s total 25 homegrown talents were fifth-highest across the continent, including  nine former trainees at other eligible clubs. Real Madrid and FC Barcelona who retained just  few of many high-level talents they developed, were the only Spanish teams topping Sociedad.

Many home-grown players were used to secure qualification for the 2013-14 UEFA Champions League. Also, since the club’s return in 2010, it’s good standing in La Liga was achieved using a majority of homegrown players, with the vast majority of those hailing from the local region (which has a population of just 715,000, a small catchment area for an elite football club, and with that potential pool of talent drained further by frequent swoops for the best youngsters by Athletic Bilbao). This showed the quality of coaching and experience the Academy possess.

Discovery Of Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann from France is a unique example. He was discovered by Real scouts during an event and enrolled in the system. He left the club for a transfer fee of €30 million in 2014.

The Zubieta Alevín teams is where all youngsters  around 10 years of age from the Gipuzkoa area are first enrolled. Then through Infantil, Cadete and Juvenil levels, they advance by an age group every season.  Real Sociedad C – a 2016 addition to the club structure- is where talents who are retained after their Juvenile A period (aged about 17) are enrolled.

Signings from local youth clubs are also made to expand the C team. Example is Antiguoko, a small San Sebastián team who regularly challenge the professional youth teams for the title in their División de Honor group. The best talents are promoted to the reserve team Sanse after spending two or more seasons at Real C. Eventually, when deemed fit they advance to the senior team.

The club’s  youth system also produced three other players in addition to Griezmann who were sold for huge transfer fees. In July 2013, Asier Illarramendi joined Real Madrid for €32.2 million, returning for about half the amount two years later. Iñigo Martínez signed for rivals Athletic Bilbao who paid his release clause fee €32 million in January 2018. Álvaro Odriozola also joined Real Madrid for €30 million plus €5 million of conditional add-ons in July of same year.

National Tournaments

The common annual competition of the Juvenil A team is the Group II of the División de Honor Juvenil de Fútbol.  Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna are their biggest rivals in the league group. The Liga Nacional Juvenil de Fútbol is played by the under-17 team, Juvenil B or Easo (named after a nickname for San Sebastián which itself derives from the nearby Roman town of Oiasso).

The Copa de Campeones and the Copa del Rey Juvenil is also played by the squad. The final league group position is required to secure qualification for these competitions. The academy teams of Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Sevilla and Real Madrid are the opponents in these nationwide competitions.

International Leagues

Real Sociedad’s first team qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stages in the 2012-13 season. As a result, the Juvenil squad could compete in the UEFA Youth League of 2013-14. The team were eliminated by Schalke 04 in the knockout stage after finishing top of their group.

Meanwhile, due to the senior team’s failure to qualify, they have not been graced to compete again. However, winning the previous season’s Copa de Campeones is another route to the Youth League. But the Juvenile team have not been able to do this so far so far.

Real Sociedad B Or Sanse

Real Sociedad de Fútbol “B” (also known as Sanse) is a Spanish football team based in San Sebastián, in the autonomous community of Basque Country. It is the reserve team of Real Sociedad and plays in Segunda División and was founded in 1955. The Campo José Luis Orbegozo with 2,500 spectators of the Zubieta Facilities hosts their home matches.

Reserve teams in Spain play in similar football pyramid as their senior team rather than in a separate league like in nations such as England. However, reserve teams cannot play in the same division as their senior team. Promotion to La Liga, the division the senior team competes is unattainable by the squad. The Copa del Rey entry is also restricted from the reserve team.

Background

The Real Sociedad youth team were runners-up in the Copa del Rey Juvenil in 1952. As a result, the club’s executives introduced the concept of Real Sociedad de Fútbol Junior to bridge the gap between the talented teenagers and the senior team. The youth squad won the Copa Juvenil immediately, although the first match was delayed until 1955 due to economic issues.

A name change was required to differentiate them from the senior team after they secured promotion to the third tier. They were renamed  San Sebastián Club de Fútbol. In 1959–60, they reached the second division for the first time and finished fifth two year later achieving a best ever classification in the category. Unfortunately, Sanse were ineligible for promotion following the main squad’s relegation from La Liga.

 Sanse was promoted to the newly created Segunda División B in 1980 and stayed in that division for 17 consecutive seasons. They later switched between the third and fourth division. In 1991 and 2006, they reached the promotion playoffs of the third teir but failed. The team was renamed Real Sociedad de Fútbol B after a rule change in 1992. Liga de Fútbol Profesional’s rules prohibit B clubs from having different names from their parent club.

Real Madrid Castilla and Sevilla Atlético were exceptions. In 2007, the team celebrated it’s 50-year anniversary, by this time it has utilized  over 486 players. Consecutively, the 1980-81 and 1981-82 Spanish Championship was won with majority of the squad representing the senior team.

Most Sanse players were to be promoted from a new Real Sociedad C (previously known as Berio) after a change in the club structure in 2016. They would compete in Tercera División with under-20 graduates of the club’s youth system. The Real Sociedad C team must play at least one division below Real Sociedad B.

The team finished third in Group 2 in the 2017-18 campaign.   Sanse won their group after beating Algeciras in the promotion play-off finals in 2020-21. Therefore, securing promotion to the second division 59 years since their last appearance. However, after only a season in second tier, Sanse was relegated back to the third tier on 22 May 2022.

About The Real Sociedad C

Real Sociedad de Fútbol “C” is a Spanish football team based in San Sebastián, in the autonomous community of Basque Country. They compete in Segunda División RFEF – Group 2 and  is the second reserve team of Real Sociedad.

Background

In 1998 it was founded under the name Club Deportivo Berio Futbol Taldea. The team was integrated fully into Real Sociedad’s structure becoming its second reserve squad in 2016. Berio operated as a farm team for Real Sociedad in the previous two seasons after gaining promotion to the Tercera División. However, they still wore their traditional green strip and competed at their own stadium. They wore Real Sociedad custom blue-and-white and played at Zubieta from then.

The Real C squad consists generally of graduates from the club’s youth system aged between 17 and 20. Successful players progress to Real Sociedad B (Sanse) after one or two seasons. Sanse must play at least a division below Real senior team and Real C must play at least one division below Sanse.

The team finished second in their Tercera group to move to the Segunda División RFEF in 2021. They were the first Basque  group to do so. However, they would remain in the fourth level, though now with a regional rather than a local profile. This was part of a nationwide restructuring. Real B-team secured promotion to the second tier in the same season.

The Training Ground Of Real Sociedad

The Zubieta Facilities (Basque: Zubietako Kirol-instalakuntzak, Spanish: Instalaciones de Zubieta), is the training ground of the Primera Division club Real Sociedad. It is located in Zubieta, an enclave of San Sebastian (adjacent to the San Sebastián Hippodrome). Also, it was originally inaugurated in 1981 but was opened in its modernised form in 2004. It was designed by architect Izaskun Larzábal and occupies an area of 70,000 m².

Overview Of The Anoeta Stadium

Anoeta Stadium (Spanish: Estadio de Anoeta), currently known as the Reale Arena for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain. It was inaugurated in 1993.

It hosts La Liga side, Real Sociedad home matches and it lies at the Anoeta Sports Complex. The total seating capacity of the stadium was reduced to 26,800 after renovations. It was originally 32,000. It became the 11th-largest stadium in Spain and the 2nd-largest in the Basque Country after it’s completion to 39,313 seats in September 2019 (with the possibility of expanding to 42,300 if it were necessary).

Background and Use

Behind Ondarreta (1909–1913), and Atocha (1913–1993), it is Real Sociedad third home stadium. A bust of the late Alberto Ormaetxea, the club’s manager during their successful early 1980s era is featured in its external concourse area.

In 2013–14 La Liga season, Athletic Bilbao were also permitted to use Anoeta for their first home game. Because their own new ground (San Mamés) was still under construction. The stadium hosted the 1993, 1998, 2004 &  2013 unofficial Basque Country team’s friendly matches.have been held at the stadium.

Occasionally, it has been used for  Heineken Cup rugby union fixtures by nearby Top 14 club Biarritz Olympique (based in France but very near to San Sebastian). The Commissioning Of The Stadium

The stadium’s construction cost was revealed to be 3 billion pesetas (equivalent to around €21 million at the time). A friendly between Real Sociedad and Real Madrid was used to officially open the stadium on 13 August 1993.  Txuriurdin forward Loren, scored the first goal and the match finished in a  2–2 draw.

Expansion in the 21st century

Proposals

José Luis Astiazarán, then the president of Real Sociedad, launched a project called Gipuzkoarena in 2004. The project was intended to increase the stadium’s capacity to 42,000 and it’s completion was targeted to be in 2007. Over the course of the expansion, the athletics track was removed. The track created a gap between the field and stands so fans were delighted on removal of the track. A hotel and shops were also intended to be built. Unfortunately, this proposal was dropped when the city council rejected it.

 Iñaki Badiola, candidate for the presidency of Real Sociedad, proposed that the club buy the stadium towards 2007 ending. The city council also rejected this proposal. Badiola, now the president, made another two proposals for the stadium in 2008, of which one was similar to Gipuzkoarena. The city council were to analyze the proposal but Badiola was no longer president after 20 December. A fresh attempt to redevelop the stadium was launched by his successor, Jokin Aperribay.

The 2015 Plan

In 2015, plans to renovate the stadium was announced and it was set to begin the next year. The track was to be removed and the stadium was to be enlarged. In May 2017, construction eventually began and was completed in October 2019. The arena was remodeled to a capacity of around 42,300.

Real Sociedad (€33m), the Basque Government (€10m) and the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council (€4m) handled the €47 million cost of the project. Izaskun Larzabal, who designed many of the facilities at the club’s Zubieta training complex was the architect. €78,6 million was the total cost announced after it’s completion including some new improvements that would go on till 2020.It was reported that Real Sociedad could play  some matches in Bilbao or elsewhere at some point during the construction period.

Just after the start of the 2018-19 La Liga season, they concluded the first phase of reconstruction (involving the removal of the track and insertion of lower rows of seats on the side stands, and a completely new south end stand). As a result, they played their first three fixtures away, until 15 September 2013.  Meanwhile, because of the capacity Of the remodeled stadium, they admitted over 3,000 additional staffs to the club. Over the course of the season, the club expected the completion of the second phase of work on the new north end stand.

To aid the completion of the renovation work, they played each of the first three rounds of the 2019–20 La Liga season away. They announced that the first match at Anoeta – or the Reale Arena to use its new sponsored title – with all seats in place, a capacity quoted as 39,500 (though with work still ongoing in other areas of the construction) would be between the home side and Atlético Madrid on Saturday 14 September 2019.

This was almost exactly a year after they opened the first new stand. The official attendance was 33,374, greater than the old maximum for Anoeta (and that of Atoxta), therefore a club record. Real won the match 2-0. Basque derby against Athletic Bilbao, set a new record of 36,730. This came five months later. The home side won 2–1.

The atmosphere inside the stadium was transformed by the remodel with the main focus being the  Aitor Zabaleta singing section.

They awarded the stadium with the 2020 World Prix Versailles award in the Sports category following the reconstruction.

The Atotxa Football Ground

Atotxa (Spanish: Atocha) was a football stadium in San Sebastián, Spain. It remained the home ground of Real Sociedad until 1993. Anoeta Stadium replaced it. 80 years ago, it had superseded Ondarreta Stadium. The arena could contain about 17,000 spectators.

Background

Preceded by Ondarreta, the Municipal Stadium of Atocha was the second stadium that Real Sociedad had in their history. The neighborhood of the old town of San Sebastián is where it is located. Later the team moved to the Eguia neighborhood. They constructed the Atocha stadium in an old velodrome. On 5 October 1913, they inaugurated it with a match between Real Sociedad and Athletic Club Bilbao. The match ended in a 3-3 tie.

Coincidentally, the scorer of the first goal in Atocha was the same as that of the first match in San Mamés. He is the mythical player of Athletic Bilbao. The nicknamed Rafael Moreno Aranzadi as “Pichichi”. Also, they awarded him the top scorer award for the Spanish Primera División. The stadium reached an approximate capacity of 27,000 spectators. In 1923, It hosted one Spain National team match.

On 13 June 1993, Real Sociedad striker Oceano da Cruz netted the last goal in an official match at the stadium. The match was a League game against Tenerife which ended in a 3–1 for the locals. They held a game between Real Sociedad and the Basque Country as part of a farewell on 22 June.

On that date, they scored the final goal on the stadium: with the crowd still in place, they turned off the floodlights. Also, the young son of former Real defender Javier Sagarzazu, who had died suddenly aged 28 six years earlier, ran towards the goal under a spotlight and scored into the empty net.

Real Sociedad played in the new stadium, Anoeta from the 1993–94 season. The old Atotxa stadium served as a training ground for a rugby team. They also preserved it for a few years. However, they later demolished it to build public housing.

An ex-player of Real Sociedad, Amadeo Labarta of Pasaia was the caretaker for 40 years. He even had his home inside the stadium.

People know Real Sociedad for setting off a firework after an opponent scored a goal, and two fireworks after a home goal at Atotxa. This tradition started so that seamen in the Bay of Biscay could know the results of the match without being at the ground. They revived the tradition against Vasconia following the move to Anoeta after a brief absence.

Initial Historic Events

In the early 1900s, students and workers returning from Britain introduced football to San Sebastián. They formed the San Sebastian Recreation Club in 1904 and the club competed in the Copa del Rey the next year. Also, they formed the San Sebastian Football Club as a separate branch of the club in May 1905.

It applied to enter the Copa del Rey in 1909. But complications over registration permits saw them compete as Club Ciclista de San Sebastián. This team defeated Club Español de Madrid 3–1 in the final.

On 7 September 1909, they formed Sociedad de Futbol out of confusion. Spanish clubs played in two rival cup competitions in 1910. As Vasconia de San Sebastián, Sociedad de Futbol entered the Copa UECF. King Alfonso XIII – who used San Sebastián as his summer capital – gave the club his patronage, where it subsequently became known as Real Sociedad de Fútbol in the same year.

Changing the team’s name to ‘Donostia Club de Futbol’

In 1929, Real Sociedad was a founder member of La Liga. The team came fourth with Francisco “Paco” Bienzobas finishing as top scorer as the team finished fourth. In 1931,  the team’s name was changed to Donostia Club de Futbol  with the advent of the Second Spanish Republic. However after the Spanish Civil War in 1939, they changed back to Real Sociedad after the Spanish Civil War.

The team has generally fluctuated between the Primera and Segunda divisions. During the 1940s they managed to face relegation and promotion seven times. The sculptor Eduardo Chillida was the team’s goalkeeper around that time. Unfortunately, injury ended his career.

The Achievements Of The 1980s

In the 1979-80 season, the team finished as runners-up in La Liga for the first time. They finished 13 points clear of third-placed Sporting de Gijón with 52 points, just a point below Real Madrid. At the end of the 1980–81 season, Real Sociedad won its first ever Primera División. Although, they finished 45 points with Real Madrid, they denied them a fourth-consecutive title by head-to-heads wins.

As a result, they secured a spot at the 1981–82 European Cup. However, they eliminated them in the first round by CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria.

Managed by Alberto Ormaetxea, the club beat Barcelona by 47 points to 45 to retain the La Liga title.  Forward Jesús María Satrústegui netted 16 goals to become  the club’s top scorer for 1980–81.  Although Pedro Uralde was the top scorer the following season with 14, he scored 13. 

The club defeated Víkingur of Iceland, Celtic and Sporting Clube de Portugal to reach the  semi-finals of the 1982–83 European Cup. They later lost 3–2 on aggregate to eventual champions Hamburger SV. At the starting of the 1982-83 season, Real Sociedad won the Supercopa de España . They defeated Real Madrid 4-1 on aggregate after overturning a 1–0 defeat in the first leg.

Real Sociedad set a record for most goals in a quarter-final of the Copa del Rey on 11 March 1987. They crushed Mallorca 10–1. It beat its Basque rivals Athletic Bilbao 1–0 over two legs in the semi-finals of the same tournament. Real Sociedad defeated Atlético Madrid 4–2 on penalties to win its only Copa del Rey title on 27 June 1987. The match held at La Romareda in Zaragoza, Aragon.

Real Sociedad defeated Atlético Madrid again after defeating them in the quarter-finals in the following season’s Cop del Rey.

They beat Real Madrid 5–0 on aggregate in the semi-finals. On 30 March 1988, they lost 1–0 in the final to Barcelona at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu Stadium .  In the 1987–88 La Liga, Real Sociedad were runners-up for the first time since its lost its title. With 51 points to Real Madrid’s 62 – and three points clear of third-placed Atlético Madrid.

Real Sociedad followed the practice of its Basque rivals Athletic Bilbao of signing only Basque players for many years. In 1989, it  abandoned the policy and  signed Irish international John Aldridge from Liverpool. Aldridge became the club’s top scorer, and fourth-highest scorer of the league after netting 16 in his first season. La Real finished fifth that season.  

La Real signed an English striker, Dalian Atkinson of Sheffield Wednesday in 1990.  He became the club’s first black player. He scored 12 goals in his first season, second at the club only to Aldridge’s 17. That was Aldridge’s final season at La Real, and he left to play in the lower English leagues at Tranmere Rovers. Atkinson left to join top-flight Aston Villa.

Real Sociedad finished third, its best finish since being runners-up for the first time since 1988 In 1997-98. Its total of 63 points was 11 less than champions Barcelona but just two less than runners-up Athletic Bilbao. Due to a higher goal difference, they finished higher in the table than Real Madrid.

Yugoslav striker Darko Kovačević became the fourth-highest scorer in the league having scored 17 times that season. They secured qualification for the 1998-99 UEFA Cup with the third-place finish. They defeated Sparta Prague and Dynamo Moscow before Atlético Madrid knocked them out in the third round by.

The Events Of The 21st century

Real Sociedad were runners-up in the 2002–03 La Liga after finishing 13^th in three consecutive seasons. its best finish since 1988. Only Real Madrid’s  tally of 78 beat theirs of 76 points. They had four more points than third-placed Deportivo de La Coruña. Frenchman Raynald Denoueix was manager. The Turkish striker Nihat Kahveci and Yugoslav international Darko Kovačević were the club’s attacking duo.

Also, the two netted 23 and 20 goals and  were third and fourth top scorer in the league respectively. The club included the Dutch International goalkeeper Sander Westerveld and Xabi Alonso n the team. Alonso, won he 2003 Don Balón award for the best Spanish player in the league. They voted Kahveci as the best foreign player and Denoueix the best manager.

Real Sociedad defeating Real Madrid in April 4–2 at the Anoeta Stadium was an important moment that season. Until the penultimate game of 38, when it lost 3–2 away to Celta de Vigo, it retained first position. While Real Madrid beat Atlético Madrid 4–0 securing first place two points clear of Real Sociedad.

In the last game, La Real defeated Atlético Madrid 3–0 and Real Madrid beat Athletic Bilbao to win the La Liga.  As a result of finishing second, the team qualified directly for the 2003–04 UEFA Champions League. They scored a total of 71 goals and lost just sic times. They were undefeated at home.

Trailing Through The Champions League

They placed the club along with Juventus, Galatasaray and Olympiacos, in Group D of the 2003–04 Champions League. The team finished second and advanced after winning two matches, drawing three and losing away to Juventus. The lost home and away games 1-0 to Lyon. This caused their disqualification. The club dropped to 15^th out of 20 and declined drastically in the 2003–04 La Liga. Their tally of 46 points was only five more than relegated Real Valladolid.

Real Sociedad played its 2,000th La Liga match on 9 September 2006. They relegated them from La Liga for finishing 19th. Also, they ended a 40-year streak there that same season. The club appointed former Welsh international and Fulham manager Chris Coleman as the new club coach on 9 July 2007. This was under recommendation of an important executive and former Real Sociedad manager John Toshack.  On 16 January 2008, Coleman resigned.

Real Sociedad finished in fourth place and qualified for the 2013–14 Champions League  in the 2012-13 season. It was  the first time since the 2003–04 season. But in the play-offs, this time. The club defeated Lyon 2–0 in both legs to qualify for the group stage In the play-offs. However, they only gained a point in the group stage. This caused their elimination.

Era Of David Moyes

On 10 November 2014, Real Sociedad announced David Moyes as the chosen manager to replace Jagoba Arrasate on 10 November 2014. They sacked the latter following a series of poor results.  Moyes became the sixth British manager in the club’s history. However, on 9 November 2015, the club sacked him, after falling to 16^th La Liga. They replaced him with Eusebio Sacristán later that same day.

Sacristán signed an initial contract until 30 June 2017 which he renewed. The club dismissed him due to poor performance. Aiser Garitano  arrived from Leganés to became the next head coach. The club dismissed him with only five wins in seventeen league games and on 15th in the table.

On 26 December 2018, reserve team manager and local boy Imanol Alguacil reached him. He oversaw an attacking style of play combining pace, precision, power, and exuberance during his reign.

The Accusation Of the Presidency

 Iñaki Badiola, at the time the club’s president, accused the preceding club management of buying doping substances at the clubs annual meeting in 2008. In 2013, Badiola gave an extended interview. He accused José Luis Astiazarán’s presidency of paying up to €300,000 to Eufemiano Fuentes to dope players on the team between 2001 and 2007. The claims were denied by José Luis Astiazarán, who was Real Sociedad’s president between 2001 and 2005.

On 3 April 2021, Real Sociedad won its third Copa del Rey. They defeated rivals Athletic Bilbao in the nearly year-long delayed 2020 Copa del Rey Final due to COVID-19.

The Club’s Nickname And Kit Colors

The club’s name means “Royal Society of Football” in Spanish. The club’s nicknames are Erreala or the txuri-urdin (“white-blue” due to the colours of their kit). The colors evolved from the flag of San Sebastián: a blue canton on a white field.

Kabylie, JS

JS Kabylie or JSK stands for Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie (Kabyle: Ilemiyen inaddalen n leqbayel), an Algerian professional football team premised in Tizi Ouzou. The club is labeled after the Kabyle-Berber-speaking Kabyle (the letters JSK on the badge are Berber for JSK), who live in an ethnic, organic, and biographical area. The club’s colors are green and yellow, and it was formed in 1946. The Stade du 1er Novembre 1954, their home stadium, has a volume of 21,240 audiences. Presently, the club competes in Algeria’s Ligue Professionnelle 1. It is Algeria’s most popular football club.

JS Kabylie has earned 14 times in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1, five times in the Algerian Cup, once in the Algerian League Cup, and two occasions in the Algerian Super Cup. The club has also earned the CAF Champions League two occasions, the African Cup Winners’ Cup once, the CAF Cup 3 times, and the African Super Cup once.

Background

The club was formally established on August 2, 1946, under the title Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie, and started contending in the Algiers Football Association’s Third Division League. On October 13, 1946, they took part in their maiden formal encounter in the Seven Division.

The club earned the tournament team in 1947–48, placing first in their pool, and was elevated to the first level as a result. Algiers’ debut season in the 1st tier resulted in a second-place result.
In 1977, as JS Kawkabi, they earned their first Algerian Cup, beating NA Hussein Dey 2–1.

The concept of an African Super Cup was first proposed in Abidjan’s “Coupe de la Fraternité.” In 1982, the winning team of the African Cup of Champions Clubs in 1981, the Jeunesse sportive de Kabylie, earned this title in a penalty shoot-out (4–3) against the holder of the African Cup of Cup Winners, Union Douala, following a result of 1–1. From 1979/80 and 1989/90, when they were identified as JE Tizi-Ouzou, they earned the Algerian league 7 times.

In 1981 and 1990, they earned the African Champions Cup.

In 1995, they earned the African Cup Winners’ Cup after winning their 4th Algerian Cup in 1994.

They earned the CAF Cup 3 occasions in succession in 2000, 2001, and 2002. They were league champions in 2004 and 2006. Also they were league champions in 2007–08. They earned the Algerian Cup in 2011. In 2021, they earned the Algerian League Cup.

Competitions

MC Alger (the largest algerian clasico), CR Belouizdad, ES Setif, and USM Alger (Clasico kabylo-algérois) are all fierce rivals of JSK.

The Kabylia Derby is a series of games between JSM Bejaia and MO Bejaia.

Coaches from JS Kabylie

There have been 77 coach appointments from Ali Benslama in 1946 to Ammar Souayah. They included 68 diverse individuals, and the club has had 18 various coaching teams throughout its existence. Abderrahmane Boubekeur and Mahieddine Khalef, for example, have led JS Kabylie on multiple occasions. JS Kabylie Field

The 1 November 1954 Stadium in Tizi Ouzou, Algeria (Arabic: 1954, French: Stade du 1er Novembre 1954) is a multi-use stadium. It is the home field of JS Kabylie and is primarily used for football games. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 spectators.

The stadium bears the anniversary of the National Liberation Front’s foundation, which led to Algeria’s independence from France.

Upon the murder of Algerian footballer Albert Ebossé Bodjongo, the Algerian Football Federation banned all football and mandated the stadium’s shutdown indefinite period.

Manager JS Kabylie

Ammar Souayah (Arabic: ) is a retired Tunisian footballer and the manager of JS Kabylie. He was born on June 11, 1957.

National football team of Tunisia

Ammar Souayah was appointed coach of the Tunisian national team in 2002. And hence guided the team to the FIFA World Cup in 2006. Tunisia started the competition with a 2–0 loss to Russia, then tied 1–1 with powerful Belgium before losing 2–0 to co-host Japan and being ousted in the Group Stage. He coached Étoile du Sahel and Club Sportif de Hammam-Lif.

Riyadh’s Al-Shabab

He was named Al-head Shabab’s coach on January 23, 2014. Succeeding Belgian Emilio Ferrera. In the 2014 AFC Champions League group stages, he had a strong showing with Al-Shabab. AlShabab contested six games, winning five and losing one.

Dabo Cheick Oumar

Cheick Oumar Dabo is a Malian footballer who was born in Bamako on January 12, 1981.

Career in the club

Bucheon, Saskatchewan

In 2002, Dabo enlisted Bucheon SK. Dabo was one of the handful Africans to compete on the K-League All-Stars Soccer teams in 2002 and 2003, netting in both matches. He was also chosen for the team in 2004. However he was only used as a replacement in that match. He faced Lee Dong-Gook and Lee Young-Pyo (in 2002) in the AllStars Soccer, both of whom went on to compete in England’s Premier League.

Kabylie, JS

In his first game with JS Kabylie, Dabo scored a penalty against Asante Kotoko. Dabo netted three goals in the 2006 CAF Champions League, two of which came against Al Ahly of Egypt. It took place in the 2006 CAF Champions League. He netted two goals against OS Balantas of Guinea-Bissau in the CAF Champions League in 2007. He scored two times against Gabonese side Mangasport, once in the away match (3–1) and once in the home leg (3–0). Kabylie advanced to the quarterfinals as he netted one and assisted on the other against Cotonsport of Cameroon. In the 2007 CAF Champions League, he already has 5 goals.

In the Algerian Championnat National, he was named player of the month in February, March, April, and May, and was ultimately named player of the year.

The league’s MVP was chosen. With 17 league goals in 27 games, Dabo finished as the league’s highest goalscorer (2 as a sub). He was the 1st international player to ever lead Algeria in scoring. Benghazi, alahly

After exiting Le Havre in the summer of 2010, Dabo enlisted Al Ahly Benghazi of the Libyan Premier League. On August 18, he netted his first goal against Al Hilal.

He began his career with Konate, then moved on to Djoliba in Bamako, Mali’s capital, Gençlerbirlii in the Turkish Premier Super League, and finally Bucheon SK in the Korean League. In the summer of 2006, he left Dubai Club of the UAE League to participate Kabylie of the Algerian Championnat National.

Global Career

In 2002, Dabo was a member of Mali’s African Nations Cup squad (the year Mali featured the contest).

In Mali’s 0–1 loss to Nigeria, he replaced Mamadou Bagayoko in the 79th minute.

Dabo’s outstanding performance for Kabylie gained him a ticket to the national squad for African Nations Cup qualifiers against Benin on June 3 and Sierra Leone on June 16. Both games were initiated by Dabo.

Moussa Sab (Moussa Sab)

Moussa Sab is an Algerian football manager and ex player who was born on March 6, 1969. Upon leading JS Kabylie in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1, he is presently unsigned.

Career in the club

Sab began his football journey with the (Jeunesse Sportive de Tiaret) club in western Algeria, then went to JSK and assisted them achieve the African Champions League in 1990. For an unspecified sum, he acquired French club AJ Auxerre in 1992.

Arsenal coach Arsène Wenger attempted to purchase him alongside Swiss center back Murat Yakn in a “sensational” £7 million move in May 1997, but the agreement fell through, and Saib eventually enlisted Valencia for £3 million.

Coulibaly, Idrissa

Idrissa Coulibaly is a Malian highly qualified football player who portrays as a defender. He was born on December 19, 1987.

Career in the club

Coulibaly, who was born in Bamako, Mali, made his debut in the youth system of JS Centre Salif Keita at the age of ten.

Coulibaly was not advanced to the first squad in 2006, despite the fact that several of his colleagues were. He chose to leave the club and join a different local group. Following 15 days, JS Centre Salif Keita persuaded him to rejoin, and he was quickly elevated to the first team.

In September 2012, he approached French Ligue 2 club FC Istres, however was not registered owing to an organizational issue.

However, he joined Qatari side Lekhwiya on a five-month loan as a substitute for Madjid Bougherra.

Casablanca, Raja

Coulibaly moved back to Africa in June 2013 for Raja Casablanca. The Moroccan club offered him a two-year contract.

Coulibaly spent the 2014-2015 season on loan with Hassania Agadir.

Arouca

He secured a one-year contract with Portuguese club Arouca on July 7, 2015.

Global Career

Coulibaly earned his Malian national team start on June 17, 2007. In a 6–0 triumph against Sierra Leone in a 2008 African Cup of Nations qualification. He has also represented Mali at the Under-23 level.

Gaouaoui, Lounès

Lounès Gaouaoui (born Sept 28, 1977) is an Algerian goalkeeper who is now the goalkeeping instructor of USM Alger.

Playing Profession

Gaouaoui was a player of the Algerian national squad that fell in the African Cup of Nations quarterfinals in 2004. He was Algeria’s first-choice goalkeeper until lately. Having appeared in all of his country’s major World Cup qualifying rounds. However dismissal and an appendicitis strike compelled him to skip his country’s World Cup qualification match against Egypt and the 2010 African Cup of Nations, respectively, with Faouzi Chaouchi filling in. Though being chosen in the final roster, his long spell of dormancy deprived him his status as first-choice goalkeeper for the World Cup Finals.

Coaching Profession

Gaouaoui began his coaching profession as a playing deputy manager with CS Constantine.

Bodjongo, Albert Ebossé

Albert Dominique Ebossé Bodjongo Dika was a Cameroonian footballer who competed in Cameroon, Malaysia, and Algeria. He was born on October 6, 1989, and died on August 23, 2014.

Profession

Bodjongo was a member of Douala Athletic Club, an MTN Elite Two club in Cameroon’s National Second Division. In Cameroon, he also featured for Coton Sport FC and Unisport Bafang.

On April 15, 2012, he was acquired by Malaysian club Perak FA as a substitute for exiting striker Lazar Popovi.

On 17 April 2012, he earned his career start for Perak in a 2–2 tie against Sabah FA, and on 4 May 2012, he netted his first goal for the club in a 2–2 tie against Terengganu FA. Bodjongo joined JS Kabylie in July 2013. (JSK).

With 17 goals, he was the highest goal scorer in the Algerian Championship in 2014.

Bodjongo is said to have earned six caps for Cameroon’s national football team (mostly with the ‘B’ team). As well as playing for the under-20 team in 2009.

Demise

Bodjongo hit in the head by a missile from an anonymous source on August 23, 2014. As the teams were exiting the field after a home match between JSK and USM Alger. The game resulted in a 2–1 loss for JSK, with Bodjongo scoring the lone JSK goal.

Bodjongo ended up dead of a catastrophic brain injury some few hrs afterwards in the clinic. He was 24 years old at the time.

After Bodjongo’s demise, the Algerian Football Federation banned all football for the time being and announced the stadium’s shutdown on November 1, 1954.

All games in Week 3 of the league, which began on September 12, 2014, were followed by a minute’s silence in honor of Bodjongo.

Following post-mortem examinations disclosed on December 18, 2014. It was revealed that Bodjongo may have suffered from a brutal assault. Rather than a projectile, as initially claimed.

The club’s Youth Wing is dedicated to developing the next generation of professionals at MC Alger. Therefore, to train the kids, the club spends a lot of money on recruiting experienced coaches, fitness specialists, tutors, and other sports academicians.

The Stade 5 Juillet 1962, their home stadium, has a capacity of 65,000 spectators. In Omar Hamadi Stadium, they will also face their opponents. Currently, the club competes in Algeria’s Ligue Professionnelle 1.

Naming and Renaming the club

From 1977 to 1986, the club was known as Mouloudia Pétroliers d’Alger. It was founded in 1921 as Mouloudia Club Algérois and Mouloudia Chaâbia d’Alger. In 1986, however, it was renamed Mouloudia Club d’Alger. Red and green are the club colors.

They play at the Omar Hamadi Stade.

The 1976 African Cup of Champions Clubs was won by MC Alger, making them the first Algerian club to win a continental championship. They are however one of Algeria’s most successful clubs, having won the league seven times and the cup eight times, finishing third after USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, and also ES Sétif.

MC ALGER’S HISTORY

The first Muslim football club in colonized Algeria was founded in 1921 by a group of youths from the Casbah and Bab El Oued areas.

Hamoud Aouf, who worked as a mediator between the two parties, commanded the group. The club was officially created in the Benachere café’s waiting room on August 7, 1921.

The name Mouloudia Club d’Alger comes from the fact that the date coincided with the Mawlid. Green, the Algerian people’s hope and also the traditional color of Islam, and crimson, the nation’s affection, were chosen as the club colors.

Initial wins for the club

After winning the Algerian Championnat National in 1974–75, MC Alger qualified for the African Cup of Champions Clubs for the first time in their history in 1976. They advanced to the final afterwards defeating Libya’s Al Ahly Benghazi, Egypt’s Al Ahly, Kenya’s Luo Union, and Nigeria’s Enugu Ranger.

However they faced Hafia Conakry, a Guinean team that had won the previous edition of the championship, in the final. They won with a penalty shoot out and were the first ever Algerian club to win a Continental competition.

Stade du 5 Juillet

The 5 July 1962 Facility in Algiers, Algeria, is a football and also an athletics stadium. The name is a reference to Algeria’s declaration of independence on July 5, 1962.

The 95,000-seat stadium first opened its doors in 1972. Furthermore It hosted the Mediterranean Games in 1975, the All-Africa Games in 1978, the Pan Arab Games in 2004 and the All-Africa Games in 2007.

The stadium was one of two locations for the African Cup of Nations in 1990. (the other venue was the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba). It also held nine tournament matches, including the final, which drew a second-highest crowd of 105,302 spectators.

Road to Renovation

Algeria won the event after defeating Nigeria 1–0 in the final match. On March 3, 2010, a friendly match between Algeria and Serbia drew 110,000 spectators, setting a new record. It also hosted the African Athletics Championships in 2000.

 The stadium was decreased to an 80,200 capacity after a formal compliance with current safety regulations in 1999, and following a fresh phase of restoration in 2003. With possible improvements, the future capacity will exceed 80,000.

The Stadium’s History

The Opening of the Stadium

The stadium’s first goal came from Moroccan footballer Filali, who scored for the Maghreb squad against Hungary. The first formal game on the field, however, was the final of the Algerian Cup in 1972, which pitted two teams from the capital, USM Alger, against each other.

Betrouni, Omar

Omar Betrouni was born on January 9, 1949, in Tunisia. He was a forward for MC Alger and also USM Alger on Algeria’s national team.

Career as a Player

Betrouni, who was born in Algiers, spent more than a decade playing club football for MC Alger. He was the five-time Algerian league champion additionally a three-time Algerian cup winner. Betrouni also helped MC Alger win the 1976 African Cup of Champions Clubs by leading the league in goals scored.

He joined USM Alger in 1980 and stayed with the club until the end of his career, winning the Algerian cup twice.

The National team

Betrouni played 48 times for Algeria’s senior national team, including four FIFA World Cup qualifying games. On December 10, 1970, he made his African Cup of Nations qualifying debut against Morocco. He also scored once in five matches to help Algeria win the 1978 All-Africa Games.

He was named one of the finest 200 African football players of the last 50 years by CAF in 2006.

Mohamed Lamine Zemmamouche

On March 19, 1989, Mohamed Lamine Zemmamouche was born. He is an Algerian footballer who represents the Algerian national team as well as USM Alger in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

Career in the Club

On July 10, Zemmamouche returned to USM Alger, despite some fans’ objections due to the historic penalty kick against USM Alger in the Algerian Cup in 2010.

After the penalty kick was recorded, the goalkeeper apologized to the fans, saying it was not a provocation. He did, however, sign a three-year contract earning 3,500,000 DZD each month to become the Ligue 1’s highest paid player. This occurred in his first season back after his return.

Ligue 1

Zemmamouche played in 32 games in Ligue 1 and the cup, helping the team return to continental tournaments after a six-year hiatus.

Maracana Foot honoured Zemmamouche with the best goalkeeper award in Ligue 1. The next season, 2012–13, marked the start of a new era for the goalkeeper. After a 9-year absence, he guided USM Alger to the Algerian league title.

His International Career

Algerian national team coach Rabah Saâdane chose Zemmamouche to play in the 2010 African Cup of Nations in Angola in December 2009. He also came on as a substitution for Faouzi Chaouchi in the semi-final against Egypt after Chaouchi was sent off.

As coach Saâdane finalized his 23-man roster for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Zemmamouche was the last player cut.

Algeria’s second-choice goalkeeper, Zemmamouche, was also named to the national team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He played in one FIFA World Cup qualifier, filling in for Ras M’Bolhi against Burkina Faso, before of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Rafik Safi

Rafik Safi was born on February 7, 1975, in Cairo, Egypt. He is a retired Algerian professional footballer who played as a striker also attacking midfielder.

Career in the club

CM Bordj El Kifane was where Saifi began his football career. At the age of 17, he made a reputation for himself as a goal scorer there. Before joining MC Alger in his hometown, he represented two more tiny teams, IRB Sougueur and IB Khémis El Khechna.

He helped the team capture the Algerian league title before joining Troyes AC in France in 1999 at the age of 24. He spent five seasons at Troyes, including the 2003–04 season following their relegation to Ligue 2.

FC Istres

With a move to freshly promoted FC Istres in 2004, Safi returned to Ligue 1 and played 35 games before leaving following the club’s relegation. In 2005, he joined AC Ajaccio, another freshly promoted club, and was relegated for the third time in four years.

FC Lorient

In the summer of 2006, Safi moved to FC Lorient, another freshly promoted club. He got off to a fast start in the 2007–08 season, scoring four goals in four games.

Al Khor

On August 9, 2009, Safi signed a one-year contract with Al-Khor, with the club paying FC Lorient a €500,000 transfer fee.

On his league debut against Al-Gharafa on September 12, 2009, Safi scored his first goal for the club.

He also scored his second league goal against Al-Kharitiyath on October 22, 2009.

Istres

Safi was loaned out to Ligue 2 side FC Istres until the end of the season on January 23, 2010.

On February 2, 2010, the relocation became official. Safi signed a contract with Amiens SC on November 4, 2010.

His International Career

Saïfi was a member of the Algeria team that participated in the 2002 African Cup of Nations. He scored his first international goal on 28 February 1999 against Liberia. Thus Saifi made his third trip to the African Cup after being included by Algeria manager Rabah Saadane for the 2010 tournament.

The incident that changed everything

Algeria faced a lot of domestic criticism after their poor performance at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Despite failing to progress past the group stage, a controversial occurrence occurred at the conclusion of the USA-Algeria game, in which the USA won in the final minute.

Safi recognized female writer Asma Halimi, who had published a critical story about him in the newspaper Competition.

Safi and the journalist had a previous feud over the journalist’s translation and publication of an interview Safi had conducted.

He slapped her in the face, and Halimi retaliated by punching him in the face with her nail catching on his lip.

Halimi indicated that she would submit a complaint against Safi with FIFA, the world football governing body and Also the Algerian FA.

Oualiken Amokrane

Amokrane «Da Mokrane» Oualiken was an Algerian football player and manager who lived from 6 April 1933 until 22 June 2010. He was also a right winger for the team.

Career in the club

On April 6, 1933, Oualiken was born in Ben Aknoun, Algeria.

He was a three-time runner-up in the French Division 1 and reached the final of the Coupe de France while playing for Nîmes Olympique.

He played for MC Alger and USM Alger after Algeria’s independence in 1962.

Following a protracted illness, Oualiken died on June 22, 2010 in Ben Aknoun, Algiers.

His International Career

Oualiken was a member of the Algerian FLN team in 1960.

Career as a Coach

He began his coaching career with DNC Alger after retiring from playing.

In 1981–82, he helped the amateur club win the Algerian Cup, hence in 1985, he was promoted to the Champion At National 1, Algeria’s first flight.

He then became the national coach of Burkina Faso.

From 1969 to 1977, Oualiken was the coach of the Algerian Gendarmerie’s football department.

He became the Technical Director of now-defunct club DNC Alger in 1977, guiding the squad from the amateur divisions to the top flight as well as helping them win the Algerian Cup in 1982.

Mamam Chérif Touré

Mamam Cherif-Touré was born on January 13, 1978. He is a former professional footballer from Togo who represented his country as a midfielder.

Career in the Club

Touré wore number 91 throughout his stint at Livingston. This is supposed to be his lucky number because he wore a basketball shirt with that number on it when he was younger. The shirt also said “Sheriff,” but the Scottish Premier League demanded that he use his own name.

In October 2002, he scored twice in a 5–1 win over Motherwell, which was obviously his most memorable moment at Livingston.

The Lie

Touré was on trial with Norwegian club SK Brann in January 2005. Despite having previously played for the Scottish team Livingston, where he was registered as born in 1981, he claimed that he was born in 1985 and that he had never played for any clubs in Europe.

Charlie Miller, a former Dundee United player, asked Toure if he was the same person that used to play for Livingston, but Toure denied it.

His International Career

Touré’s international career included appearances for Togo at the African Cup of Nations in 1998, 2000, and 2006, as well as a call-up to the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

His Personal Life

Souleymane Mamam, his younger brother, also plays for the Togolese national team. Cherif Touré wears his Christian names on the back of his shirt, despite the fact that Mamam is his surname.

Diakité, Drissa

Drissa Diakité was born on February 18, 1985, in New York City. He is a Malian professional footballer who represents Championnat National 3 team Lucciana as a defensive midfielder as well as right defender. In March 2007, he was linked with moves to Newcastle United, Everton, and Real Zaragoza, all for £3.5 million.

When things fell apart

He was compared to a mix of Patrick Vieira and Zé Roberto.

Diakité has agreed to a contract that will keep him at the club until 2010.

He was sent off for the first time in his Nice career in November 2007, receiving his first straight red card. He made 22 appearances in the 2007–08 season and was also signed to a deal through 2009. Diakite was however released by the club at the end of the 2011–12 season, ending a six-year affiliation with them.

Diakite has had more bad seasons in Nice than anyplace else in his career.

Return to France from Greece

He signed a one-year contract with Olympiacos in Greece in the summer of 2012.

Diakite, on the other hand, only made four appearances and did not even make the first team. Thus, Diakite was released by the club at the end of the 2012–13 season.

Diakité returns to France after a year in Greece, signing a two-year contract with Bastia on May 29, 2013.

His International Career

Diakite was a member of the Mali U-20 team that finished third in the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship group stage.

He was a member of the Malian Olympic football squad in 2004, which reached the quarterfinals after winning group A but lost to Italy in the next round.

Paradou AC/JMG “El Ankaoui” Academy

In 2007, Paradou AC partnered with JMG Academy to start their academy. Jean-Marc Guillou, a Frenchman, was in charge.

The institution is expected to cost around 600,000 € over the course of seven years. The purchase of land in Tessala El Merdja (on the outskirts of Alger) as well as the construction of accommodation and facilities for the players and staff are part of this plan. The institution has had a significant amount of success since its inception.

How many players are in the team?

The current team consists of players between the ages of 13 and 15. They have, however, often defeated much older teams while playing without shoes or a goalkeeper. Olivier Guillou and Djamel Ach are the team’s coaches.

About Paradou AC

Paradou Athletic Club, also known as Paradou AC or just PAC, is a football club headquartered in Algiers, Algeria. Members of the Hydra AC junior team created the club in 1994. Thus Blue and yellow are the club colors.

The stadium where they play, Ahmed Fellak Stadium, has a capacity of 5,000 people. The club, on the other hand, will host its opponents at Omar Benrabah Stadium. Currently, the club competes in Algeria’s Ligue Professionnelle 1.

After a ten-year absence, Paradou AC returned to the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 in May 2017.

Paradou AC’s History

Early Years

A group of friends wanted to build a venue where young people could meet for leisure and interests, particularly after long days of schooling, largely studying. After much deliberation and study of many suggestions, it was finally to form a traditional football team. The name Paradou Athletic Club (abbreviated PAC) was eventually adopted.

When it came to the club’s colors, the decision was taken on a purely anecdotal basis. Several proposals were offered, but none received unanimous support. When the Swedish ambassador arrived in his vehicle, waving his country’s flag, we were in the middle of a conversation. The concept came to me immediately (Yellow and blue)

The first meeting

The original members met for the first time at the COLOMBA restaurant. They were: Mahi Ali, Mahi Mohamed, Kabla Kamel, Kabla Rezki, Kheiredine Zetchi, Oudghiri Ahmed, Mahi Abdelfettah, Zetchi Hassen, Kabla Toufik, Hammouche Abdennour, Chitour Omar, Oudghiri Rafik, Guecem Kamel, Bouhellal Kamel, Kabla Toufik, Hammouche Abdennour, Hamm.

This “Collation” meeting also included a few people who were involved in the club’s formation.

The Paradou AC saga began with an Algiers Wilaya Cup match at the Ben Aknoun stadium in September 1994. Luckily The match resulted in a 3–2 victory, indicating a promising future.

Legal Approval

This is how the legal administrative procedures for obtaining approval were carried out together with all of the relevant authorities. The number 359 was assigned to this document on August 16, 1994. As soon as it was gained, the club’s managers started about forming senior and junior teams, as well as establishing training as a goal.

Since its inception, the founding members of the Paradou Athlétic Club, including brothers Kheiredine and Hassen Zetchi, have taken great effort to build the club with strict administration. They also hope to set an example by instilling moral qualities such as fraternity, humanity, and respect for others, which are the foundation of any high-level athlete’s success.

The Club’s Growth

The Paradou AC has progressed through the leagues from their inception in 1994–95, eventually landing in Ligue 1 in 2005. As a result, it was able to carve out a niche for itself among Algerian clubs and gain recognition.

 Paradou AC has finally found the elite after three years in DNA and is back in Ligue 2 as a professional team. Several players educated by Paradou AC, whose vocation it is, have played in the heydays of several D1 clubs and continue to do so. Lamouri Djediat, Hocine El Orfi, Billel Ouali, as well as others are among the players.

Tahar Chérif El-Ouazzani

Si-Tahar Chérif El-Ouazzani, a former Algerian footballer, was born in Oranis on July 10, 1967.

His Career

Chérif El-Ouazzani began his career in 1983 with Oran, a local MC. Furthermore He guided the team to its first league title in 17 years in his debut season. He led the squad to the African Cup of Champions Clubs final the following season. However, they were defeated on penalties by Raja Casablanca in a contentious encounter.

 He returned to MCO for one more season, hence winning the 1990 African Cup of Nations. After that, he got his first professional deal with Aydinspor in Turkey, where he joined fellow Algerian Djamel Amani. Before returning to Algeria, he spent two seasons in Turkey.

His Exit and Return to MCO again

Before leaving again the following year, he led MC Oran to a second league title. He went to the Moroccan side Raja Casablanca this time.

He returned to MCO for a third tenure after two trophy-less years in Morocco. However 1996, he guided the club to the Algerian Cup, and in 1997 and 1998, he led the squad to back-to-back Arab Cup Winners Cups. They also won the Arab Super Cup the following year, defeating Syrian side Al Jaish in the final. He was a member of MCO until 2002, when he retired.

He took over as coach of OM Arzew in 2003 and remained in charge of the squad until February 2008, when he was named coach of MC Oran.

His Personal life

Chérif El-Ouazzani is the youngest of seven children, and his brother Abdennour Chérif El-Ouazzani is also a professional player.

Hichem El-Ouazzani, Chérif El-son Ouazzani’s Chérif El-Ouazzani is also a professional footballer who has represented Algeria at the international level.

Paradou AC in Africa

In African football, Paradou AC is a team to watch.

On various times, Paradou AC has qualified for Confederation of African Football (CAF) events. Also on one occasion, they represented Algeria in the Confederations Cup.

History

Paradou AC is a team that has competed in Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions on a regular basis. However he success of Algerian clubs in their domestic league and cup competitions determines their qualification. The CAF Confederation Cup was the first continental participation in the 2019–20 season.

The team’s first continental encounter came against Guinea’s CI Kamsar. Luckily Abdelkader Ghorab scored the game’s first goal in a 3–0 triumph.

In Group D, Paradou AC had also advanced to the knockout stages, finishing third behind FC San Pédro, Hassania Agadir, and Enyimbaand.

Stadium Omar Benrabah

Omar Benrabah Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Algiers, Algeria. It is located in the Dar El Beda district. However is now primarily used for football matches.

The Algerian A’ national football team and the Algerian Under-23 National Team both use it frequently. Paradou AC and CRB Dar El Beda both call the stadium home. The stadium has a capacity of 11,000 people.

The stadium hosted the 2009 African Under-17 Championship. Also it was the venue for the finals.

Players Worth Remembering

Naidji, Zakaria

Zakaria Naidji was born on the 19th of January, 1995. He is a professional footballer from Algeria. On loan from Paradou AC, he played for Pau FC as well as the Algerian national team.

Career in the club

With 20 goals in the 2018–19 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1, Naidji was the top scorer.

During the season, he scored 21 goals and added seven assists across all competitions.

Naidji joined Portuguese liga NOS club Gil Vicente on loan from Paradou AC in August 2019. Gil Vicente reportedly paid €50,000 for the loan and also acquired a €1.4 million option to sign him permanently.

International Career

Naidji debuted for Algeria in an African Cup of Nations qualification against Gambia on March 22, 2019, as a 64th-minute substitute for Oussama Darfalou.

Hakim Malek

Malek, Hakim, was born on April 4, 1972. He is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder for the French national team.

Career in the Club

Malek began his career at Vitrolles before moving to Toulon in Ligue 2 in 1997. In the 1997–98 season, he made 32 league games for Toulon. In the summer of 1998, he went to Martigues and played a season with the Championnat National team before returning to Vitrolles, where he finished his career.

Career as Manager

Malek was named manager of Consolat Marseille in 2003. Before going to amateur side Saint Marcel, he held the position for five years. During the 2010–11 season, he was the manager of Algerian team El Eulma before returning to Saint Marcel. Following the resignation of Bernard Bouger, he was rehired by Consolat in January 2012.

Josep María Nogués

Josep María Nogués Salvatella was born 29 April 1959. He is a retired Spanish footballer who was a midfielder as well as a manager.

A career as a manager

Nogués, who was born in the Catalan city of Barcelona, has previously coached teams in the Tercera and Segunda División. L’Hospitalet (1993–1995), Terrassa (1995–1996), Gimnàstic de Tarragona (1997–1999), Real Jaén (2002–2004), Girona (2005), Écija Balompié (2007–2008), and Real Betis B (2008–2009) are some of them.

As soon Paco Chaparro was fired, Nogués was named the new manager of Real Betis on April 6, 2009.

Racing de Santander was defeated 3–2 in his debut game as coach. Then came two defeats, 1–2 against Valencia and 0–2 to Atlético Madrid. Nogués however defeated Sporting de Gijón 2–0 in his second game.

He first managed in Algeria with Paradou AC from 2016 to 2018. Afterwards it was followed by a brief stint with CA Bordj Bou Arreridj in 2018.

On February 10, 1964, Francisco Alexandre Lacerda Chaló was born. He is the current manager of Paradou AC and also a former attacking midfielder for the Portuguese national team.

Career

AC Alfenense

Chaló began his career as a district manager with A.C. Alfenense and F.C. Pedras Rubras in Ermesinde, Porto Metropolitan Area. He spent three years in the Segunda Liga with C.D. Feirense after guiding the latter to the third tier.

He was promoted to the Primeira Liga on 30 May 2007, thus replacing Fernando Mira at Associaço Naval 1o de Maio.

However n September 16, he was fired after scoring two points in four games.

Chaló then returned to Feirense in the second level for another 18 months before being relegated in December 2009.

FC Penafiel

He signed with F.C. Penafiel for the rest of the season on March 8, 2011, with the goal of avoiding relegation.

Following Fan’s departure in March 2013, Chaló was named manager of S.C. Covilh.

He finished in the middle of the table the following season after steering them to safety.

Lees da Serra

Despite interest from other teams, he stayed with the Lees da Serra and led them to fourth place in the 2014–15 season. It was their highest performance since the Segunda Liga’s inception. However they narrowly lost out on promotion to the Primeira Liga on goal difference.

By and Large, Covilh was considered as one of the favorites for promotion heading into the 2015–16 season. However, his team only finished fifteenth due to a string of poor results in the first part of the season. As a result of the 22-point drop from the previous season, he was released.

Return to Management

Subsequently, Chaló returned to management in December 2016, signing a one-year contract with Académico de Viseu FC.

He left in February 2018 after a seven-game losing streak, and a few days later took a job with Leixes S.C. of the same league.

He cancelled his contract with Matosinhos in June 2018, with a year left on his deal, before joining Paradou AC of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. In August of 2020, he quit the team.

He returned to Paradou AC in 2022.

Benguit, Raouf

Abdelraouf Benguit was born in Laghouat on April 5, 1996. He is an Algerian footballer who currently represents MC Alger in the Ligue Professionnelle 1 of Algeria.

Career in the club

Benguit made his professional debut for Paradou AC on August 14, 2015, after graduating from the club’s development academy. He made his Ligue Professionnelle 2 debut against USM Bel-Abbès in the first match of the 2015–16 season.

Tunisia’s USM Alger Espérance

Raouf Benguit signed Espérance de Tunis for four seasons on July 2, 2019, after leaving Paradou AC for 742,000 US dollars.

He made his Ligue 1 debut for Espérance in a victory over US Tataouine. Benguit then scored the winning goal against Elect-Sport in the Champions League, his first goal with the club. Benguit got his first brace in the Tunisian Cup against AS Marsa on March 15, 2020.

He won two titles in his debut season, the Ligue Professionnelle 1 and the Super Cup. He also had the most games played this season, with 42, and scored seven goals.

His International Career

Benguit was named to Algeria’s squad for the 2015 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Senegal in November 2015.

Benguit was first called up to the Algerian national team on June 1, 2017 for a friendly match against Guinea and a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo

 Farid El Melali

Farid El Melali was born May 5, 1997. He is an Algerian professional footballer who plays for Ligue 2 club Pau also the Algeria national team on loan from Ligue 1 club Angers.

Career in the club

El Melali signed a four-year contract with Ligue 1 club Angers on August 9, 2018.

He signed a contract extension until 2023 in May 2020.

El Melali joined Pau on loan for the duration of the 2021–22 season on January 7, 2022.

His Personal Life

El Melali was caught masturbating in the courtyard of his block of flats in May 2020, while staring at a woman who resides on the ground floor. French police arrested him and accused him with public masturbating.

“In the past several days, I’ve been through a really difficult and stressful moment, whether emotionally or physically, I’ve been chastised and harshly criticised,” he wrote afterwards. “I know it is impossible for people that received the news to forgive this behavior” he added.

Why he was arrested

However El Melali was arrested for the second time in three months in July 2020 for the same offense.

He was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 18 months, fined €2,000, and ordered to pay €1,600 and €2,300 in compensation to two victims in October.

Ramy Bensebaini

Amir Selmane Ramy Bensebaini was born on April 16, 1995, in Tunisia. He is an Algerian professional footballer who currently plays for Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach as well as the Algeria national team as a left-back or center-back.

Career in the Club

Bensebani, who was born in Constantine, began his career at Paradou AC, where he joined the junior team in 2008 and made his senior debut in 2013.

Bensebani went on trial with F.C. Porto in the summer of 2013, and was later offered a two-week trial by Arsenal in the English Premier League. During this time, he represented the under-21 squad in two friendlies against Luton Town and Colchester.

Lierse

Paradou loaned Bensebani to a Belgian Pro League club for a season in June 2014.

On 3 August, he made his entire debut as a 94th-minute substitute for Wanderson in a league match against Club Brugge.

Despite making 23 league games and scoring one goal during the season, Bensebani was unable to help Lierse avoid relegation.

Montpellier

Bensebani was loaned out by Paradou once more in June 2015, this time to French club Montpellier for the 2015–16 Ligue 1 season.

He signed a four-year contract with Rennes on July 5, 2016.

Borussia Mönchengladbach

Bensebani signed a four-year contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach for 8 million euros on August 14, 2019. As a result, he became Algeria’s most expensive defender. Additionally In the Bundesliga, he made his debut for the team as a starter in a win over 1. FC Köln.

He scored his first goal for his new club against Werder Bremen on November 10th. Afterwards He was sent off with a red card in the same game.

More so n December 7, 2019, he scored twice in a 2–1 triumph over defending Bundesliga champions Bayern München.

His International Career

Bensebani made his Algerian national under-23 football team debut against Sierra Leone in a 2015 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifying match on July 19, 2015.

Bensebani was first called up to the Algerian national team in November 2015 for a pair of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Tanzania.

Allan Okello

On July 4, 2000, Allan Okello was born. He is a Ugandan offensive midfielder who plays for Paradou AC in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 as well as for the Uganda national team. In 2019, he was named Fufa Airtel Footballer of the Year.

KCCO

Okello was launched at the Lugogo ground of the Kampala Capital City Authority on February 24,2017

During his senior debut, Okello scored a triple trick and assisted one goal as Kampala Capital City Authority trounced Onduparaka FC. On February 27, 2017, this however took place at Phillip Omondi Stadium.

As a result, he became the first player in the Uganda Premier League’s 2016–2017 season to score a hat trick.

Many professional clubs around the world, including Mamelodi Sundowns, Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax, as well as Egyptian clubs, showed interest in Okello in July 2017.

“He will not leave the nation till he has completed his A-level studies,” his agent, Isaac Mwesigwa, stated.

Uganda Premier League 2018–19

Okello made his season debut on September 28 against Soana FC at Kampala Capital City Authority’s Phillip Omondi StarTimes Stadium (won 2–1).

On the 19th of October, he also scored his first goal of the season against Onduparaka at Green Light Stadium in Arua.

On 4 May 2019, Okello played his final game of the season against Maroons FC at Phillip Omondi StarTimes Stadium.

During the season, he appeared in over 24 games. Kampala Capital City Authority was crowned champions of the league. Thus Okello scored six goals in the 2018–2019 Uganda Premier League season.

AC Paradou

Okello signed a three-year contract with Paradou AC on January 21, 2020.

National Team

• Uganda U20

Okello was a member of the Uganda U20 team at the 2017 COSAFA U-20 Tournament in Zambia.

Although he made his debut against Zambia U20 on December 6, 2017, at Arthur Davis Stadium in Kitwe, as a substitute for Pius Obuya.

• Uganda’s U23

During the TOTAL AFCON U-23 Qualifiers, Okello represented Uganda U-23.

Also on November 14, 2018, at Star Times Stadium Lugogo, Uganda, he made his debut against South Sudan U23. The game ended in a 1-0 victory for U23.

• National football squad of Uganda

Sébastien Desabre, Uganda’s head coach, invited Okello to be part of the final team training for the 2019 Afcon qualification game against Tanzania on March 13, 2019.

Against Somalia, though, he made his senior national team debut.

Private life

Following the death of his biological mother in 2012, Okello moved to Kampala to study at the football powerhouse Kibuli S.S. Okello was born and reared in the northern town of Lira. Patrick Ojom (dead) and Joan Agomu gave birth to Okello.

Douar, Youcef

Youcef Douar (born September 15, 1997) is an Algerian footballer who currently plays as a defender for Paradou AC in the Ligue Professionnelle 1.

His Career in Paradou AC

Douar made his professional debut on May 12, 2018, after graduating from the club’s development academy.

Douar earned a four-game suspension and a 40,000 dinar fine in August 2021 after abusing a match official during a match against CR Belouizdad.

His International Career

Douar has represented Algeria at various youth levels, as well as at the U20, U21, and U23 levels.

Medjadel, Abderrahmane

On July 1, 1998, Abderrahmane Medjadel was born. He is an Algerian professional footballer who currently plays goalie for Paradou AC in the Ligue Professionnelle 1.

Career in the club

Medjadel was a young product of IS Tighennif before joining ASM Oran’s school. However he moved to GC Mascara in 2017, where he had his first senior experience in Algeria’s Ligue Professionnelle 2. In 2019, he joined Olympique Médéa and helped them gain promotion to the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

Furthermore, On January 26, 2021, he made his professional debut for Olympique Médéa in a 0–0 draw with Sétif in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

His International Career

In June 2021, Medjadel was called up to play for the senior Algeria A’ national football team in a friendly match. However On June 17, 2021, he made his debut in a friendly 1–0 win over Libera.
