Overview Of The East Rankin Academy

In 1969, East Rankin Academy received its charter from the state. Also, in January of that year, 1970, school started for students in grades 1 through 6.

When Mississippi finally granted charters to private schools, they first granted it to Marshall Academy.

Twenty-three families made up the inaugural membership in 1968 of the “non-profit educational association. They call it the “Marshall County Educational Foundation, Inc”. It received a charter award in 1965.

On September 3, 1968, the Foundation opened its doors to its inaugural class of 150 pupils in grades 1 through 8.

The nation’s first basketball camp, Connecticut Basketball School, is marking the 60th season. Boys basketball players ages 9 to 18 can attend the residential camp. The majority of the coaching staff consists of local coaches, along with college and pro basketball players. The camp has it’s location at St. Thomas More School, which is conveniently situated between Norwich and Colchester in Connecticut. Six outdoor courts, including four for nighttime play, as well as an indoor gym with eight baskets are available at the school. A resident lifeguard is present during the two daily optional swim times. There is also a resident trainer present.

Coach Kidd, a 24-year veteran of the college coaching levels, is in his 21st season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Division 1 Sacred Heart University. Kidd has consistently played a significant role in the advancement of the team’s defensive tactics and guard abilities throughout his coaching career. He spent four years at minor college powerhouse Western before Sacred Heart. He assisted Connecticut in earning two NCAA tournament invitations. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant for two years at Central Connecticut State University, his alma mater. Kidd was a four-year starter and three-time captain during his career as a player at Central. Kidd was the school’s all-time leading scorer when his playing career ended in assistance (567).

John Reiser has been a basketball coach at the high school and college levels for more than 30 years. Since 1988, he has served as the head coach at three Connecticut High Schools, where he has guided teams to multiple league, conference, and state championships, including the 2005 “LL” State Championship. With a 28-0 record, his 2005 squad set a state record most victories in a season. Additionally, Coach Reiser was chosen as the 2005 Connecticut Coach of the Year. Coach Reiser entered the Manchester Hall of Fame He has the distinction of having coached both the boy and Currently serving as head coach at Manchester High School, where he recently achieved his 500th victory, he was also the girl Connecticut Players of the Year.

The Connecticut Basketball School’s standard tuition is $530. The rate is $500 if paid in full by June 1, 2022. The cost for a camper who wants to stay for both weeks is $1000. We regret to tell you that The Connecticut Basketball has decided to postpone the camp sessions in 2022. To run our camp properly, we need more campers than we currently have registered. To ensure that instruction and competition are balanced, we need at least three different age groups. We hope that you have ample time to make other summer plans for your child as a result of our letter. In response to COVID worries for the younger age group, according to The State of Connecticut, other overnight camps are reporting a similar dilemma with their membership.

Our Campers’ Letter [UPDATE]

Greetings, Campers and Families.
We sincerely hope that you are well and safe during this time. Unfortunately, the governor of Connecticut declared on May 18, 2020, that all overnight camps in the state would be shut down this summer. Due to the complexities of transporting students through the daily routines of an overnight camp, both campers’ and staff’s safety at The Connecticut Basketball School would be at jeopardy.

The goal of the Connecticut Basketball School has always been to create a secure environment and enable everyone of the more than 16,000 campers to enjoy themselves with their fellow campers. We feel the campers would not be able to have the experience, which is regrettable, but we support the State of Connecticut’s choice. We would want to express our gratitude to all of the campers, parents, and staff who have remained dependable and helpful over the years. Hopefully by the summer of 2021, things will be back to normal in our nation and The Connecticut Basketball School will be able to reopen. Application Processes

The Academy Program

Boys & Girls Clubs of Alaska provides three program areas for Alaska’s youth: Clubhouse, Licensed Childcare, and Athletics.

CLUBHOUSE

 Clubhouse programs provide before and after school care for children aged 7 to 18. We do this while implementing initiatives that promote academic achievement, character and leadership development, and leading active lives.

CENTER FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT

Our Child Development Center is a registered childcare facility in Anchorage that offers care for kids from 6 weeks of age to 12 years old.

ATHLETICS

The year-round youth sports programs provided by BGC – Alaska Athletics are encouraging, enjoyable, and also assists children in understanding the real meaning of collaboration. We are a bunch of fitness enthusiasts who have created a space for others who are just like us. In 2019, Playsmart Performance Center was conceptualized as an addition to PVV School, a CBSE school situated next to Playsmart. The intention was to improve the school’s athletic facilities, however due to the founders’ intense love of sports, Playsmart had evolved by the time it was founded in the year 2020 into a fully functional sports club and academy. The original plan was to construct a swimming pool and badminton courts, but as time went on, other facilities were built to serve more athletes and sports, including a gym, a CrossFit facility, a GX studio, and cricket nets.

For the past 31 years, what has kept Sure Shot the top basketball camp at the Jersey Shore?

Sure Shot Basketball Camp, which was founded in 1991, is the biggest and best basketball camp in the area along the sea. Sure Shot offers players the best coaching and attention they need to raise their game with its hundreds of participants and more than 50 instructors.

Ike Dweck, the camp’s director, played collegiate basketball at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania and founded Sure Shot Basketball Camp to share what he had acquired with the young people in our neighborhood. Ike has served as the camp’s director for all 31 years, and he keeps things fun, interesting, and brand-new for all of our boys and girls. This year’s Sure Shot is certain to be our finest camp yet thanks to training, prizes, NBA Pro appearances, T-shirts, shorts, and much more!

THE TEAM

Director and founder, DANNY SERVICK

Danny has experience managing a team because he was a Division I point guard in the past. Servick started Pro One Sports in 2003, grew it into one of the top international agencies, and developed a solid reputation for being an honest and tenacious advocate for his clients. In addition to his huge network at the university level, he has contacts with some of the most important figures in professional basketball all around the world. Over the course of his more than 20 years in the business, Servick has worked as an agent for the NBA and FIBA, scouted for top clubs across Europe, and assisted players and coaches all over the world.

Servick oversaw daily operations for Pro One in the United States, where he focused on scouting, recruiting, contract research, negotiations (he has crafted million-dollar agreements with teams in Europe and the NBA), and draft planning. He created and implemented extensive training programs for draft prospects and free agents. He also oversaw player development programs.

More Information

Danny has not only had an impact on the professional level but has also emerged as a thought leader and powerful voice in the youth/amateur sector. Pro One Basketball Club, a well-known Under Armour program that he founded and developed into one of the region’s top travel teams, now owned and operated by him. Over 75 Pro one players have received college scholarship offers in just five summers. In addition to running Pro One Life, an apparel business that creates t-shirts, he is the host of Pro One:Dialogue, a podcast that focuses on the growth of young sports around the globe.

Danny joined Morgan Keegan once his playing days were over, working there as a financial advisor for eight years. With a degree in business management from Birmingham Southern College, Servick also held licenses in life, health, and disability insurance, was a registered investment advisor with the NYSE, and was a registered investment broker. He held registrations with FIBA, the International Basketball Federation, and the National Basketball Players Association. Sam and Jack, Danny and Angie’s two sons, live in Huntsville, Alabama, with their parents.

The main goals of UA Rise, a circuit that complements the UAA, are exposure to college coaches and high-level play. Each of the three age divisions in the league—17U, 16U, and 15U—has 48 clubs. Each team competes in a 12-game regular season before the UA Rise Champion is determined via a single-elimination championship bracket.

Since the RISE’s launch in 2019, Pro One Basketball has been the only boys program powered by Under Armour in Alabama and one of the few, select programs to be a member. In our program, we have three teams with the designation UA RISE: 17U,

16U and 15U. Players chosen for these teams should be ready for a hard practice schedule, training regimen, and national tournament schedule.

Our 17U, 16U, and 15U High School Select teams are made up of great athletes who want to compete at the highest level during their high school careers and afterwards in college. From D1 to D3 and NAIA, this squad often includes outstanding academic prospects. Players chosen for these teams should be ready for a hard schedule that includes practices, training, and competitions at some of the region’s finest independent tournaments.

Regional upper school teams (ALABAMA AND TENNESSEE)

Pro One is dedicated to giving players of all skill levels opportunity. Our regional teams give participants the chance to advance within our program, improve as players, and acquire important exposure and experience. As allowed, we have regional teams at the 17U, 16U, and 15U age ranges.

MIDDLE SCHOOL AND LOWER SCHOOL REGIONAL TEAMS (ALABAMA AND TENNESSEE)

Pro One is dedicated to giving players of all skill levels opportunity. Our lower and middle school teams give players the chance to develop a passion for the sport, to concentrate on their skills and grow as players by acquiring useful experience, and to work towards advancing within our program. From third through eighth grades, we have teams in the lower and middle schools.

His first summer was initially a little intimidating, but he grew more confident every week. With the exception that he had now cultivated ties with other Coaches and players who shared his ideals, his second year was largely similar to the first. Many of them maintained contact over the course of the entire summer and academic year. Sawyer is now playing basketball with the UNA team and loving it! Sawyer was given this chance in large part thanks to Pro One! I will try my best to summarize the various advantages they have provided for my son and my family in this final paragraph. This is why I will ALWAYS suggest them to any player who is sincerely devoted to their career in basketball.

3. What I am most grateful for and what is most important to me is… Even after Sawyer played his final game, they continued to be interested in him. He has been absent from the program for more than a year but he STILL frequently receives texts from Pro One employees asking how he is doing. I cannot adequately express the significance of knowing Sawyer has people of that caliber on his side.

VOLUNTEER COACHES

Registration is also the time for any interested parents to sign up to be coaches. Every one of our volunteer coaches has to submit to and pass a thorough background investigation.

ROSTERING THE SQUADS

If you register as an individual player, you will be placed on a team with other students from your school and grade level. Those squads who don’t have enough players will be joined with others.

ASSIGNING TEAMS

For teams to register as a unit, rather than as individuals, a roster and full payment must be submitted at the same time.

All members of a 2nd-5th grade team that registers together must be enrolled at the same school, and everyone on the team must be in the same grade.

JASON L. KEITH

Jason L. Keith is a successful businessman and also a criminal and civil defense attorney. Mr. Keith founded the Team United GSO AAU basketball program and owns the Triad Basketball Academy. Jason is passionate about supporting the Triad neighborhood. He now has the chance to realize his goal of creating a secure environment where young people may grow, improve, and learn largely via the game of basketball and other activities by founding the Triad Basketball Academy of Greensboro. Jason Keith is a North Carolina Central University School of Law and NC A&T State University graduate. He currently lives in Greensboro, North Carolina, with his wife and also three kids.

NICHOLE KEITH

Nichole Keith has degrees in English and African-American literature from NC A&T State University. NK Paints’ owner and creator, as well as NK Fitness. a wife, mother to Nick, Morgan, and Zack, and a creative art enthusiast.

JOHNSON, KALEIK

In Greensboro, North Carolina, Kaleik Johnson has owned “Caps” Urban Clothing for 20 years. His love for working with young people has always been strong, however it became much stronger after seeing his eldest daughter Kaleisha Moore play basketball. His middle son, Cameron Flippen, who plays for Dudley High School currently, also grew up in this program.

Camps for kids that play basketball

A player’s performance in basketball depends on having strong basics.

Basketball basics are essential building blocks required to reach potential.

Sadly, there has been little focus placed on possessing and understanding basketball basics. Youth Hoops was hence created to solve this issue.

A basketball fundamentals-focused skills development course curriculum has been created by Youth Hoops. Each course in this program focuses on one particular fundamental, including dribbling, passing, shooting, one-on-one defense, footwork, screening, and rebounding. Even though a course’s focus might be on a particular fundamental, all fundamentals are practiced to ensure comprehension.

Courses last for two months and are presented once a week. Following the completion of one course, the next one begins, and so forth. Carolina Hoopfest is a year-round youth basketball organization that was started in 2013 by Coach Tyler Centers as a 3 on 3 basketball event in the Charlotte area. It currently offers club teams, tournaments, leagues, camps, clinics, training, and much more.

For players aged 5 and older, Carolina Hoopfest now provides year-round basketball programs in Charlotte, Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg, Huntersville, and nearby regions in North Carolina.

Tyler has spent his whole childhood in the Cabarrus County/Mecklenburg County region, and he developed a deep love for athletics at a very early age. Centers was willing to further his basketball journey at Belmont Abbey College (NCAA Division II) in Belmont, North Carolina, after completing his high school career at Cramerton Christian, where he won All-Conference and All-State Honors (averaging over 30 ppg and 13 rpg). Centers pursued his aim of working in the sphere of sports management after finishing his career at Belmont Abbey.

After working in the sports industry for a while, Centers has developed a wealth of knowledge and insight into young sports, and she has had the opportunity to collaborate with the directors of some of the biggest basketball tournaments in the nation.

He now has a deeper knowledge and respect of what it takes to support athletes in their success. Both on and off the court as a result of these interactions.

It’s fantastic to see the hard work pay off for athletes when they come in and give 110% and have a great attitude – it makes it worth it, says Coach Tyler, who has worked with athletes of all ages and ability levels. Basketball Triple Threat NC, LLC

Things we do

Three-Way Threat A range of basketball services are provided by NC Basketball Center. For AAU, birthday celebrations, camps, classes, clinics, events, private training, group training, and more, we provide our services. In any program, we put a lot of emphasis on the basics of basketball, including shooting, passing, dribbling, one-on-one movements, defense, footwork, screening, and rebounding. Although we may concentrate on one particular element at a given session, we train all principles to guarantee progress and a deeper grasp of the game.

AAU

We presently have boy’s teams for third, fourth, and fifth grades. To assist athletes get ready for trip ball competition, we put a lot of emphasis on developing positive habits via practices.

CAMPS

At teaching stations, campers get instruction in several facets of individual offense and defense.

CLASSES

For new to intermediate players, the following four (4) fundamental courses are recommended: Sessions for each core curriculum last six weeks.
